AugustBurnsRed19
This may be stupid lol I was just wondering if there is any way that five bolt rims can go on the SSS? I have heard of adapters or something like that but never told me what to look up or anything. Is it possible to change the sss's six bolt pattern to a five bolt? I just don't know much when it comes to tires or rims. Edited December 11, 2013 by AugustBurnsRed19 (see edit history)
12'SROCK
Yes it has been done before. You need 5 lug axles and front hubs. Either drill and re stud the originals or get them custom made.
GI.SS
yea, many have done the switch to the 5X4.75 bolt pattern which gives you many more options in wheel choice. re-drill hubs, axles, and rotors/drums. i think moser will do it if you send them everything and itll cost you like $350 plus shipping both ways
AugustBurnsRed19
Okay cool I just wanted to find out because there are some rims I have been looking at but some of them are 5 bolt thanks!
MID12sSSS
I thought about this awhile back. Im dead set on the Z06 brake upgrade, and wouldnt even think of drilling/welding baer rotors... Maybe they offer those same rotors in a 5 lug, that way i can just do hubs and rear axles while its torn apart. I agree. Way better choice in wheels for 5 lug. And its different! Chances are, there wont be an SS around that looks like yours..
AugustBurnsRed19
True and the stock rims weigh too much if I do eventually get rims there probably gonna be light weight like 29lb compared to the 80lbs the stock ones weigh
