hollowman
I have a 2005 Silverado 2500 HD that has true dual exhaust. Id like to install 2 single in/single out flowmaster super 10s but am concerned about back pressure. Would it be better for my engine to just install the flowmaster dual in/dual out 50 series HD? Blown 346
It really doesnt matter if you do either. My suggestion would be to skip flowmaster and go with a different muffler. Flowmasters performance gains are horrible.
hollowman
What would you go with? I like the sound of flowmaster over cherry bomb. Those are really the only two that Ive heard. Is an x pipe needed?

bassmaster
Steer clear of blowmaster. If you're gonna run dual pipes eith dual mufflers, it'd be best to throw an x-pipe in there Sent from my Galaxy S-Fawhore

hollowman
Ive been told the x pipe allows for better excavation n horsepower but I dont wanna lessen the noise either. Will I risk any damage if I dont install an x pipe?
canadianVRss
You'll be okay. The X pipe just helps, you won't lose much "noise" by putting one in.
JC03SS
Your not gonna have any damage. Believe us all pick a good muffler and x pipe. You will be happy. Unless your looking for like an open header sound. Mine is plenty loud

OBX LT headers, no cats or resonators (I had the OBX resonators removed and replaced with cutouts), X pipe, flo pro max DI/DO, 2 18" glass packs (one for each bank). All in that order. SSchevySS
Dynomax Ultra Flo X 3" DI/DO dumped at muffler !!!
jmgak47
I would run true duals with a H-Pipe and two Dynomax Race bullets. It will be extremely loud but not sound like a hillbilly deluxe. Cheap and effective, plenty loud for ya. The H-Pipe will help the scavenging effect without giving you a higher pitched tone and noise reduction like a X-Pipe can introduce to the system. The race bullets will only clean up the tone so its deeper and not quite as harsh. Also run turndowns not tips.
