Limited360
I went with GMT-900 upgrade. Very happy . Set me back $330 for fronts. Caliper, pads, rotors. Way better than OEM and piston size is large improvement Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk so I may sound retarded.
chawkins6789
What is the difference between say a normal 06 or 06 SS front setup to a GMT-900 setup. My rotors are showing signs of cracking on the face between thr drilled holes so it is about time to upgrade
Limited360
Mine was an 03 so I can't speak to an 06SS. I can say that it was an 1" larger rotor. However it has larger pistons for sure in the caliper. Can't say I am know it all on this however. Firm peddle and quick stopping! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk so I may sound retarded. chawkins6789
Hell driving my friends 06 crew compared to my 04, his has a lot better pedal feel.
Limited360
I had maybe one functioning brake on the entire truck... So it's hard for me to give honest feedback . It stops well, nothing like my Marauder with 14" Baers in the front tho. I'm very happy with the upgrade. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk so I may sound retarded. chawkins6789
I think my setup ia going to be GMT900 up front and 06 tahoe in the rear. Not sure about pads and rotors yet
Limited360
I went with Raybesto's rotors, happy so far. See how they hold up. AC Delco pads in rear and Raybesto's in front. Stuck with stock dual pistons in rear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk so I may sound retarded.
chawkins6789
My truck has single pistons in the rear. Using a setup off a Tahoe will give me dual pistpn rears Edited April 20, 2014 by chawkins6789 (see edit history)
Limited360
Ah. Upgrade for sure then! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk so I may sound retarded.
chawkins6789
I would go to a 14" setup but I live in cali and put 23k a year on my truck. I change my brakes about every 18-24 months and if I wemt 14" my spare wouldnt be usable
