Johnbfree
My rims are stock 20s and they look good so I took one off cleaned it real good but them went a step further by painting everything behind the tire black and painted my calipers black also Then I decided to see what it would look like painting the backside and inside of the rim black Looks awesome now Flat black paint,15 min fast dry,3 coats each I've only got the drivers side done because of rain and taking me about 6 hrs per wheel to remove tire, clean everything real good, sand lightly, clean again, tape off rotor, brakes & rims (found out the hard way no matter how careful you are you will have overspray on the rim that took me 2 hrs to remove if you don't tape it first) Going to finish it this week but I'm very happy with the look afterwards

ric
Yes i did that on mine a while back and even though i kinda took my time i ended up with over spray on the face of the rims, i shouldve really taped everything off good lol. Im gonna have to respray the inside again since its peeling away in some parts aghh

I still have the passenger side to do and I'd prefer not to redo this anytime soon.
ric
I did about a good three coats, but its not the paint peeling off its the layer of chrome underneath peeling off and thats bringing the paint with it. But then again i have 22s ss reps, i dont think the factory rims have this coating or idk. If i were you ill use a thick kind of paint just to be on the safe side, im actually gonna re do them with plasti dip since its like rubber and thicker than paint, not that im a fan of it but its the only thing that MIGHT work great
