C-RichSS
Finally got a good buff job and a coat of Xzylon on the paint. Do you guys do anything special to break your SS out for summer?

Blown 346
I have to many things I do to get ready after the truck sits over winter. All in all, it takes me about 12 hours to not only detail it, from top to bottom, under carriage etc, to lubing up the suspension etc. Basically I go over the entire truck, fluids, plugs etc. Im over anal and treat my truck better than I do myself. lol
KIKINSS
Nope, nothing special for getting it ready for summer other than making dang sure the AC is charged to the max. Nice clean truck btw!
C-RichSS
Thanks guys. I wish I didn't drive mine in the winter. I plan on once I get into college and definetly after college getting me a different cheap truck so I can keep the SS in the garage during winter. I don't know about you guys but this is the truck I've always wanted and I'm 99% sure I'll die with it lol
billygoch
I bought my truck and it was painted same color just new paint job. It shines ok but when you touch the paint it feels like sand paper. Anyone ever done a clay bar? Is that what it needs?
Blown 346
It probably needs a good conditioning soap and clay bar. I like using the Meguires Gold class for soap, its all I use.
billygoch
Yeah that's what I used today. Just really grainy paint it's weird overspray. I've never waxed
C-RichSS
I have a spot on my passenger side cladding before the back wheel where the dealership touched up a spot and it's like that too. Please let me know what works for you
Blown 346
Clay bar will remove over spray, fall out, tar etc. Basically anything that isnt supposed to be on the paint.
