hot rod truck
My new truck has the xm radio in it and i have the free trial, i like it but not sure if its worth 10.00 a month . What do you guys think? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Love it. Renewed for 2 years after the free 90 days, brought the cost per month down to $8.29-8.49 per month instead of $9.99. I originally thought I would just use it for the trial period. Great on trips, listen to the same channel or channels without all the commercials and only occassional station ID and disc jockey chatter. Downside, I may end up retrofitting couple of my other cars and a home unit to boot. Enough variety for everyone Some Channel Suggestions (yeah i'm OLD) Channel 40 Deep Tracks- album cuts you never hear on FM because they're too long- 60s-70s mostly Channel 46 Top Tracks- songs you know from 60s-70s-80s Top 40 rock n roll Channel 7- 70s- Top 40 Channel 8- 80s- Top 40 Channel 9- 90s-Top 40 Channel16 Highway 16- current country hits Channel 60 Soul Street- Motown, R&B
m396 #00-011
It sux I replaced mine w/ Sirius instead. Work just like the factory XM, station ID's, names, and all. Oh, and less dropouts. ;)

Haven't had issues with dropouts, but it's pretty flat and wide open here.
AUTOGUY
Who knows how to get the adapter to convert my factory XM to Sirius....I just bought Sirius stock on the signing of Howard, and want to subscribe. Thanks

ginnie ss
VERY HAPPY with "XM" it is well worth ONLY $10.00 a month--can't stand regular radio stations.. Something for everyones taste--I personally Love the Comedy Station ( 150 ) also love the Old Disco Music (83). It's great on the long trips to the Car Shows. My husband has Sirus in his Silverado. BOTH Radios are Worth it!! Ginnie
cwest94
I like my XM radio, there no longer are any good local stations to listen to, and XM has a lot of stations that play the type of music I like. When I got the truck I didn't think I would keep it after the 3 month trial, and I did. I only pay every three months, which comes to $29, its easier for me to pay that way. dcairns
XM is great, I have forgotten what AM and FM are I just wish they would figure out how to make a Nu Wave station as good as Sirius has (I get Sirius on my Satellite dish). Sirius has got good ol Richard Blade and Dusty Street on their station. XM just has Fred, and does not quite hit the mark, but has been getting better over the last year. Dawick777
Yeah i really enjoy XM....but will have to get Sirius also in 15 months (for Howard) but between having no commercials and better sound quality i love it.....took the SS on its first road trip and never lost signal ....so nice compared to FM or AM
lordkevork
I have XM too. I only listen to a hand full of stations (fox news, Opie and anthony, and espn) maybe a few music chans now and then too. You can't get the chans on reg radio so I continue to subscribe. I hear they are working hard to bring more content to xm. Today there was a huge MLB deal that should bring all the games to XM. I can't wait but who knows if they will charge another 2.99 a month like they have me doing for O&A right now. I'm glad Howard went to Sirius cause I don't have it and won't get it. I been a fan of his show since it started and the last 5 - 7 years he blows. Sorry to current fans. He balmes it all on Bush and the FCC and I'm tired of hearing the crying. Opie and Anthony are much funnier. They are restarting their show on XM. If you haven't tried it out yet sign up and see if it is for you. Overall XM isn't terrible but can be better.
