I geuss I am going to give the Nitrous a shot on Friday for the first time. If I can run 14.2's on the motor how big of a shot do you think I will need for a high 12...low 13.. second pass? HDMLNIUM Posted October 21, 2004 Author Report Share Posted October 21, 2004 I like zippy's numbers the best, 50 shot low 13's and only a 100 shot to put me in the 12's. That would be great.... I have the Westers 93 hot tune, so no degrees of retard on that...haha I will try to have about 5 gallons or so of 93 when I get to the track, I will then add another 5 gallons of 103 unleaded racing fuel. I hope that will make it a little more safe.. I only have jets for a 50 shot, 75 shot, and a 150 shot. I do not know what happened to the 100 shot jets but I hope the NX guy at the track will have some for sale. I have the 50's in it now from it being dynoed this past weekend. I guess I will pull those out and through in the 75's to start with. I am going to be about 120 pounds heavier than last time, figure 30 lbs for my nitrous crap, about 80 pounds different for the 22's that are back on over the stock 17's, and then about 10 pounds for the bedrug and tonneau cover brackets. All that stuff was either out or off to get me down to the 5400 pound race weight last time. So I will be back up to about 5620 or so, I will weigh it at work tomorrow to be sure though. I guess I could put my 17's back on to save the 80 pounds and rolling weight but since it will be videoed I would rather it look good.. ;) We will see...haha Evan, you going to make it or are you all talk?? I am calling you out brother, may the quicker man win... If you make it, I will have some nice video footage of the Denali eating your SS to get posted here some how..I know everyone will want to see us go at it down the strip... I have to do an oil change tonight, change the nitrous jets to 75's and I think with all the talk about the Volants being garbage I will put back in my stock airbox with a drop in K&N filter.
