demonte1997 Posted July 24, 2014 Report Share Posted July 24, 2014 Gosh that is horrible. I know GM had serious issues with paint failure throughout the 90s. The most typical ones I've seen are black cars with the clear receding (failing) and white cars where the paint just flecks off in sheets. To me, this is unacceptable no matter how old the truck is. These SSS trucks are top of the line Silverados and very well-kept by their owners. Clearcoat failure shouldn't be an issue regardless of where the truck is when it has been waxed and maintained.
