GI.SS
my truck sat for a few months, now the windshield wipers dont work. I have checked any and all fuses that could be related to this. I only see a relay for the W/S washer, and that checked out fine. My blinkers still work. Washer tank doesnt come on or spray fluid and wipers dont work. Any ideas other than the motors? Seems like a circuit board went out somewhere or a fuse or relay. I just cant find it. any schematics or wiring diagrams would be super helpful!
Downeast Johnny
Just a guess but how about the switch on the turn signal wand? Just thinking that the washer and wiper going out at the same time seems a little unusual. Good luck.
GI.SS
Yea idk it's weird as hell. I hate tracing wires. I have to see if I have power at the switch and comming out.
Downeast Johnny
As you mentioned in your original post, "A schematic would be real helpful". With that you could dismantle the switch and jump a couple wires and see if the W/motor come to life. I did a quick google and found this. Maybe it will do you some good. https://www.google.com/search?q=wiring+schematic+%2F+2006+Chevrolet+Silverado&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a#rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&q=windshield+wiper+wiring+schematic+%2F+2006+Chevrolet+Silverado
Doughty08
A power probe would be an awesome tool to have at this point. Good luck on ur search
GI.SS
ok this was so stupid. i pulled that fuse, checked it with a test light multiple times (which it had power both sides), then wiggled it and it started working. Downeast Johnny
Glad you didn't do that after spending days chasing wires.
