Just a quick note for the street racers amung us Watch out for the STS Hemi. We just got through dynoing the Turbo Hemi. 410 RWHP and 468 TQ at 7lbs smokes the rear tires from a 30mph roll. Traction will still be an issue but they will go some once rolling.

Just a heads up

I have been following that over at dodgetruckworld, those guys are pretty excited to have some kind of forced induction available. It seems the supercharger makers have tried, but failed to get the Hemi blown. One of them stated that the top ring of the piston was too close to the top of the piston (for emissions reasons) making the piston top susceptible to cracking off. It will be interesting to see if a "gentler" turbo will work out.

In another topic, I was reading today that chrysler is going to release the 300C as an SRT8 Edition powered by a 6.1 HEMI Engine on a possible AWD Putting out 425 hp. Release date is expected in Spring 05. Hello GM are you hearing this? :banghead:

From most of the people that i have talk to, the stock hemi was kind of a let down when it came out. The seat of the pants performance was disappointing. I think that is the whole reason why they came out with the larger displacement 6.1, so they could make some more power to keep up with the competition. :dunno:

I talked to Billy May (owner of Texas Rear Turbos) last weekend. He said that STS was just nailing down the tune on their test truck for the Dodge system. Sounds like they have it working ok... we'll see how the track and street results pan out after they get a few customers with systems installed.

He also mentioned that STS has their kit for the GTO almost finished...
