mctwist77 Posted April 9, 2015 Report Share Posted April 9, 2015 So just bought my SS and the previous owner just put on new pads before I got it. They probably have about 500 miles on them. Anyway the issue I'm having is my reae brakes get very hot and smelly only when I'm in reverse. I don't think the calipers are stuck because the truck will idle forward and backwards fine and will roll in neutral. Anybody have any ideas? kissfans03ss Posted April 9, 2015 Report Share Posted April 9, 2015 The smell could be coming from an axle seal leaking. mctwist77 Posted April 12, 2015 Author Report Share Posted April 12, 2015 The problem seems to randomly come and go but it seems like it is getting less hot and becoming less frequent.
