SSplaytoy
I ordered a 2.9. Does anybody have a smaller pulley and how is it performance wise?
BenKey
If you're referring to a Radix pulley, they make a 2.75". I have heard of custom made 2.7"s, but they probably aren't worth the cost. FWIW, I tried a 2.75" for a few months back when I had my Radix. I found that I actually ran a little faster with the 2.9". I believe it had something to do with how much I was spinning the blower (approx 17.5K rpms) with shifting at 6200rpms. Going to the 2.9" allowed for about 2.5 degrees more of timing vs what I had with a 2.75" also. I wouldn't go with a 2.9", or lower, if I didn't have an updated custom tune, or able to change things myself.
hank
i'm using a 2.9 with tuning. i keep having Allen pull timing out because of pinging. as soon as i get my trans upgrades, i'll put it on the dyno and then get the correct tune. xxjiggaxx
Is't slimsoftball still using the 2.75" pully on his truck? He said he hasn't had any problems yet.
