whytry85
May check the blower module or resistor. Harness is bad about melting in gmt800s
Blown 346
I have run over plastic bags before and had them melt on my exhaust. Smelt the same way for days, until it all burnt off.

idahoBLKss
are you heated seats still working? i would pull the leather up and see if the elements are going bad.
sswolfpac
heated seats haven t worked in ova a year this just started Friday ...had exhaust mufflers changed yesterday ,still smelled just went for a ride knock on wood nothing yet
idahoBLKss
only reason i mentioned it is i know how easy it is to turn the heated seats on by accident. if yours arent working you will be shocked when you pull back your leather on the seat and see what appears to have been a small fire in the heating element . its an easy fix to replace the elements and could be what you smelt burning . nocturnal92
Yeah, if the smell is strong inside, high chance it is the heated seat. Happened to friend's '09 Forrester.
