marc_w
Me again... I think I'm the only one here with a VHP cam. On the other site, there might be like, one or two people now. Not many at all.

I live near VHP and have been to their shop several times -- they keep a very clean shop if such things matter to you, but I'm not to impressed with them on other fronts. marc_w
Why is that, Eric? You can PM if you want... I've been on the phone with them a few times, and I got really good impressions.

I've been on the phone with them a few times, and I got really good impressions. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've asked them to do a couple of simple quotes for some work... The last time I asked them to do a rush quote on the tranny / tc swap and a quote for doing the 408 work. I had to call them 4 times over two days. They never returned my calls and when I finally got Joe back on the line, he hadn't done anything and put me on hold for 20 minutes while he came up with a quote to do the tranny swap that was 3 times higher than the next highest quote from a speed shop (almost 800 bucks was his quote to swap the tranny and tc), then put me on hold again when I asked if he could do it today and after 10 minutes I hung up and called someone else. He never did a quote for the engine work... I've also driven to his shop a few times to ask him questions because they never return my calls, and he's left me standing there for 20 minutes while he does other things like talk to his mechanic about some other job, talk to his neighbor, etc. Just not very professional to locals I guess. Probably great on non-custom stuff.
cstchevy
as long as they have good products. considering I wont be ebing a cam directly from thenm and will get the cam alot cheaper then they offer it. they also have a sound bite of this cam in the corevettte. not sure what exhaust they have on the corvette but it sounds bad ass. Mileage may differ, but I've never seen it
marc_w
No kidding... I'm surprised... I had to have them call me back once, and they returned my call that night - after hours. I guess you can look at that two ways - I took it as they were busy with work. I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with Roger talking about cams and this and that. I just got a really good impression. I'm bummed out yours wasn't as good...
