Diamondss
The time has finally come that my SS will begin the process of being restored. I'm taking all the small trim pieces off the truck and painting them individually before the whole truck goes in for paint. Where can I get a can of Onyx Black 41u paint? I have a small paint gun for air brushing that I'm going to use so I need a can of paint, not a touch up pen or spray can. Also, any suggestions on a primer or anything else that I should put under the new paint? Thanks for your help guys, I'll post pictures as the work begins Cheers! EXGM
Look up auto paint supply in your area. I prefer PPG but there are lots of options, Sherwin Williams, some larger NAPA's carry paint or similar type place. They can mix to your paint code but be prepared paint has gotten EXPENSIVE. Don't forget a good quality oil water separator and air dryer so you don't contaminate the parts your painting.
karduke
For plastic trims, you can apply adhesion promoter before painting them.
