204Denali
Ok i know i dont have a SS. However i have a similar engine in my 04 Denali. My question is what exhaust would be my best choice. I am going to get a cat back kit. Every local shop said they would have to chop my stock exhaust infront of the muffler and i dont want that i want to keep in in one piece. I really like the corsa however it is expensive. Does anyone know any good prices on Corsa. Also does anyone know the part # for a magnaflow kit. I cant find one on thier website for the denali. I am understanding the the ss and denali have the same exhaust is this correct? Sorry i know alot of questions but u guys know how it goes right. vette dude
Hey i am not a newbie to moding anything. I hope everyones reponse is not like the previous....... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> what sounds the best to one guy may not sound good to the next. Exhaust is a highly subjective subject that can trully only be answetred by trial and error. I personally owould go with the setup using ASM headers no cats, and some dynomax bullets with turndowns... It may not be quiet, but it is definately going to flow the best.... Some would prefer the rumble of the classic flowmaster, this is not going to give the best performance, but it will however give exelent harmonic satisfaction.... And still others prefer the raspy corsa note, quieter than stock at cruising, yet loud while on the pedal. Try to searc for soundclips, but weven when u find these, i don think they are going to tell much... Trial and error is pretty much what u r faced with, and it is a vee-8, so it is going to be hard to make it sound terrible. that is my.02 cents worth/

Dylan06SS
Dylan's point was to search the archieves first, then ask...... ;) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks Jason. I think the newbie didn't understand the post. Denali: You have to understand that once a day some noobie asks the same question... or one of the dozens of questions that have been beaten to death on this board long before you asked the question. If you're a member of any other boards you should know: ITS ALWAYS BETTER TO SEARCH FOR YOUR ANSWER RATHER THAN START A NEW THREAD TO ASK THE SAME QUESTION FOR THE 1,000th TIME!!! I don't mean to be an a-hole... but I was just trying to teach you something... this board has been around for a while. It has a lot of very good information on how to mod your truck. The people here are very helpful.... BUT... we get pretty annoyed when a new guy askes "which exhaust is best?" or "which CAI should I get?" or "i just took a sh*t, what do I wipe my ass with?" because the same question has been answered countless times before. Don't take it bad. I was a newbie once too... and I've done the same thing before... I just wanted to point you in the right direction... get a laugh out of it.... and give you a hard time. Like we always say around here: its when they stop making fun of you that you should worry.
zippy
their right, with the few hundred exhaust posts that are already on the board, there is more than enough info on the subject already out there.

DaGeorge
But on your topic.... I just have the magnaflow SS dual in dual out muffler. Just bought the muffler and had a local shop weld it up in place of the stocker. Almost a direcet fit. It has a really low tone. It's loud but not obnoxious, which was what I was shooting for. When I got it I was a little worried about it being too loud because you can see straigh through. BTW The muffler also has a X-Pipe built in. rico750sxi
I love my Gibson split rear exit. Not too loud on the highway but it has a nice throaty sound under acceleration. I am very happy with it.
dros44
Guys i think you should relax here with the ripping up the guy for asking a question. I mean everyone has their own questiong and you should feel honored that they respect your opinion. I understand you get tired of answering the same question. but being nasty about it isnt the best way to approach the problem
