Dylan06SS
sounds like you need a bigger amp. when you're turning it up it starving the system for power. what kind of amp, speakers, etc?
tienda
it's a sony 800 watt amp, and two sony 12s. i had it in my old truck and had no problems. i'm running 4 guage wire from the battery to the amp.
A"SS"
Sounds like a voltage drop check you connections at amp and battery. 4 gauge is good so the wire is not the problem. If everything checks out try a Capacitor. A 1 farad should do it. Good luck
A"SS"
You also might be running your amp at a load it cant handle. Check your amp manual for load capablilties. Bridged w/ single voice coil subs Your amp is running at 2 ohm some amps cant handle. If your subs are dual voice coil you might be pushing 1 ohm Not GOOD. Try this first then check on that Capacitor.
fast4popper
voltage drop is my guess as well, the other thought that i had is that you might be "over driving" the amp causing it to protect itself. meaning that you are putting too much A/C voltage into the amps RCA signals If you could give me more specifics as to what deck you have and how everything is ran I could help you out a little more. Bottom line, bring it back where you had it installed and have them make it right, you paid them good money and they should have no problem taking care of you. Keep us informed as to what you find out.

tienda
I'm using the stock deck. i'm running the amp off the two channels. It's not bridged. I took it back to them and them said they did not known what was wrong. they tried unpluging the factor sub but that did not work. now they are was guessing and i do not like that. i will keep you guys informed. also i just order the pac-24 (loc). will give you guys a update. fast4popper
That LOC from PAC should help out a little bit depending on what LOC they have in there now, with the factory BOSE systems in the truck and a "basic" LOC you are loading down the factory amp and thatcould be doing all kinds of weird things. once you get that done let me know if it cleans anything up. Also if this shop didnt know what is wrong, its time for a new shop. I do give them props to take the time and look at it, but if they cant figure out this simple problem they should find someone who can and take care of the bill if it is their fault. again keep me posted as to what this new LOC does for you -C-
