C.Kiger
Hello Everyone, Got a 2006 Silverado SS 2WD Recently, I am going to be replacing the shocks on it fairly soon (getting a ill bouncy). Truck sits fairly low, torsion almost all the way down with rear drop shackles. What brand should I go with, I prefer stiffer ride generally. Would it be worth it to get drop shocks if so which brand? Thanks!
someotherguy
I'm a pretty big fan of Belltech Street Performance drop shocks, not sure which part # would be appropriate for your amount of drop but I'm betting other more experienced members can add on. I've run them on several different trucks (and the model that came before those too) and I also prefer a firmer ride vs. soft. Only problem I've ever had were the urethane bushings crumbled on an older set of fronts but only after they had been on the truck several years and a whole lot of daily driver miles; by then the shocks were pretty much ready for replacement anyway. Distracted
I have always ran belltechs on all my past trucks and have had no issues. I am also thinking about getting them for my ISS and most likely will. Edited September 25, 2016 by Distracted (see edit history)

C.Kiger
Awesome, thanks guys looks like belltech is the way to go, but I want to be sure.. They will work even though the truck doesn't have a lowering kit, just rear shackles and torsion bars all the way down If so, NORCAL ill definitely be hitting you up when I can swing it
edgarss44
I have an 06 SS with lowered keys up front and shackles out back also. Ive had the beltech street shocks for about 3 months now and the truck rides really good! You should be fine! Really easy to install yourself too!
