SSplaytoy
A little more than a month ago, I put my SS in for some custom work, and they won't give me a date when I can get it back. They just tell me next week. I want to go get my truck but I don't want to drive around without a tailgate and rollpan. What should I do to get it back faster? GEAR M UP
How long did he say to complete? If he missed that date I'd kick the crap out of the guy....... I don’t know what you’re doing or have done to your truck. I know my motor took about 6 weeks to complete. But to be PC, I'd get a quote from two other guys to do the same job scope and go get your truck show the guy you have two other guys that will do it. Either he’ll jump all over it or you’ll take your truck and drop it off at one of the other guys.
SSplaytoy
He gave me a quote that was more than half off what everybody else said, so I chose his shop. I asked him for some custom extras a few days later and he said I'd get it back in three weeks. That was two weeks ago. When I called him today he said he ran out of gas for welding...... Dylan06SS
As is true in almost all aspects of life... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.... you can't go to Taco Bell and expect to get a steak and lobster dinner. Theres a big difference between a good deal and a deal thats too good to be true. If the guys giving you a good price wait him out a little longer.... then kick his ass!
SSplaytoy
I Have seen his work, which is awesome. He gave me a good price because I became friends with his son since I see him at a bunch of shows. He said if I didn't like the work that he would redo it too. I just miss not having my truck.
