r8rs4lf
Since I decided to go with some wheels, I need to get some tires also. The wheels are Intro Vista 6 in 22". I'm assuming I will be going 22" X 8 or 8.5" in the front and 22" X 10" in the rear. I'm looking for some suggestions for tires. "IntroWheels" on this board has the same sizes, but a different wheel. He is using 265/35/22 and 305/35/22 on his truck. What I'm looking for is the tallest sidewall I can fit into the wheel well without rubbing on a 2/3 McGaughy's drop. Sizes? Brands? Thanks in advance! Late- Alex
ChevySSandChevy8.1
You'd probably wanna look at some of those tires that provide protection against the rims, but i don't think they come in 22 inches often. But a wider tire would be your best bet for protecting the rim, I'd go with the 305 35, I'm not sure about the drop but i'm pretty sure that you might be able to hold 305 40 giving a bit better protection. dounome
Just to let you in on my fix for the tire problem with the 22" wheel. I orderd the Boyd Coddington Magneto wheel in a 22x10. Well Nitto makes a NT404 285/45/22 that works out perfect for our trucks, its the same overall diameter as the stock....plus you can pick up all four for 1K from Discount tire out of Phoenix. If you find anything else that will work the drop and 22 let me in on it, but I think these are going to be shipped out next week.
