r8rs4lf
Hopefully there are some people who have had a drop kit installed in the So Cal area. Can someone point me in the right direction? I live in Long Beach, but I wouldn't mind traveling some. Just in case some of you are going to ask, "why don't you do it yourself?", I really don't have the time. I definately have the tools to make it easier for me, but no time. Maybe even a member from here can do it for the cash? I'd rather give it to a fellow SS'er. From the McGaughy's site, the part numbers for an 04' SS are SS2E which is $295.00 and SS2D which is $395.00. Anyone know what the difference is? TBSS
I'd recommend East County Alignment here in San Diego, but that's a haul for you.
SPEEDCRAVIN
In So-Cal you should be able to find tons of hot rod shops, off-road shops, and lowrider shops. Any shop like that should be able to do it. JOSH
SuperSport
Alex, Try my friends shop, its called Starlite Rod & Custom in Torrance, phone # 310-328-5222. There is a guy named Peter that is really good there. We did my kit there, so he i familiar with the kit. If you call you will probably talk to guy named Edgar about when and how much. r8rs4lf
Out of everyone here, I knew I could depend on you two for something in So Cal. I just got off the phone with Edgar and I'll probably have them do it for me. I just need to order the kit and then I'll schedule an appointment. It's funny that it's located in Gasoline Alley because I did alot of business with Wayne of A & D Buggies when I had my bug. Thanks for the help guys! Erik I talked to Bryan of Intro today as well. He told me about your set up on your truck. He recommended I go with 22" X 8.5" all around with 285/45/22 so that I can rotate them. I'm considering going with 10" in the rears, is there any particular reason why you didn't? Late- Alex
r8rs4lf
I got my McGaughy's kit today and made an appointment to have it done. Today I also found out that my Intro wheels will take about 4-5 weeks to be done since they are made specifically for my application. I'll be ordering them next week. I was a little disappointed because I wasn't expecting that. Hopefully my SSS will be lowered sittin' on some 22's by Christmas. Dylan I talked to your guy at Trojan and he made me a smoking deal on the install and alignment compared to what everyone else wanted. Good lookin' out. Hopefully, you'll get some free shiznits for the referal. BTW, does anyone know if shocks are needed for this drop kit? Late- Alex

Late- Alex <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Glad he was able to hook you up... just keep on him, hes a little absent minded sometimes but he'll do a kickass job. Don't worry about me getting the credit for the referral... he's already sponsoring my truck as well as my brothers. Hit me up when you're gonna be in the area for the install... I'll meet you at his shop
r8rs4lf
I'll be there on Monday @ 8:00am sharp so long as traffic doesn't kick my @$$! After that, I will be going to Intro to order my wheels. Late- Alex
