SPEEDCRAVIN
Probably just a 4x4 with the front bumper. I have seen a white one running around here running 40's and it looks real good. JOSH
IdriveGTP
You need to ask 6.0ss (Joe). At the Indiana meet, he said he originally wanted to lift his truck....thankfully he dropped it!
ctrow
Just curious why everyone is so against lifting an SS as long as it's done right? After all, it's a 4WD chassis and a silverado body with cladding. I'm not saying I would do it. I like em to have a nice low stance. But it's their truck, let them do what they want. fast4popper
Funny you guys are talking about lifting an SS, when I bought mine, my Brother, and avid Chevy fan but drives a lifted Dodge, asked me when we were gonna lift mine? I told him NEVER, if anything it will drop a few inches. BTW, if I want to just lower the stock ride hieght and KEEP the ride feel that it has now what do you guys recomend? Not to low maybe 2 inches. let me know what you guys have ran into. thanks -C-
cwest94
I wouldn't mind lifting mine a inch or two, I think it would look nice.
SPEEDCRAVIN
I would not knock anyone for it, but for my taste I like the sport/muscle stance of our trucks and I think they look even better just a little bit lower. I do not like the (draggin its nuts look). But hell, what ever you guys like to do with your own I think you should. I dont think thay all should look the same either... Dylan06SS
Kinda defeats the purpose of the truck to lift it. Its a street truck... if you want a lifted vehicle go buy a 1500 4wd and lift it... if you want it to look like an SS, buy the front bumper from Street Scene. I still don't know why anyone would buy an SS in the first place if they were planning on lifting it all along.
SSplaytoy
Someone has lifted theirs. I'm not sure who though.
6.0ss
Lifting an SS makes since for a few reason! It comes with Shorter Gears to accomodate the taller tires It has a more powerful stock engine It is AWD so it should perform ok off road, but it could use a locker CST has a lift kit that will work, it is the same kit for the Escalade lifts, The whole thing needs new drive shaft in the front and have been told the parts would run around 8k to get it up 8 inches!!! I think it would look awesome!!!

ChevySSandChevy8.1
defeats the purpose of having an SS, the truck handles better around the corners than the regular silverado, why ruin that? A 2500HD looks sweet when lifted, thats what i would do.
