Bodie
I live in a small town in Louisianna. We have one Gm Dealer in town. I had ask the owner a while back about a regular cab SS . He had never heard of it. So I said Ok. He told me they were getting a Exra Cab SS. Well It came in today. I saw it and stopped. It 's black the sticker is 41 and some change.I was curious about what kind of deal he had on it. Get this He told me Gm would not let them sell it below Sticker! I thought He must be crazy. I got up and left.He stopped me out side and said he might could do a little better. I still left! Every time they get something He does this? I guess it need's to sit there a while
Lee
Hey Bodie, That's a lot of BS, buddy. The economy is really in the toilet. ALL mfg's are discounting. GM is across the board on everything they make. 0% for 60 months or $$ discounts. I chose the discounts and got mine for just under $34,500 (rounded off). Don't let him play that game with you. If he won't budge off MSRP (or will only do "a little better" )then go to another town that's close by. I have purchased three vehicles that way when I live in Atlanta and the dlr's played games with whatever I was buying at the time. It's WELL worth the bus or plane ticket. Good for you (walking out). Maybe he'll ge the hint??? Good luck. Lee
stvejay
I agree with Lee. Any dealer trying to sell the silverado ss at list price is ripping off the public. If you dont get a good discount on top of any rebates that is offered by GM tell the dealer your going some where else. I'm a GM employee, I got my employee discount, plus $3000.00 in rebates and that dropped my SS from a list price of $40000.00 to just under $33000.00. It looks like some gm dealers are trying to price gouge these trucks because they are new, and been slow coming to market. Good Luck to any body shopping for the silverado ss. TWISTERSS
I agree. I work at a dealership too, and although the truck is somewhat limited, for him to say GM will not let them sell it under sticker is total horse$hit. The owner of the dealership could sell it to you for $5 if he wanted to, (of course, he would have to make up the rest of it out of pocket) ;)
