2003Onyx
Since putting in my audio system. Alpine in-dash tv and dvd i've blown the fuse to the audio and door chimes twice. What do you guys suggest i do?
SSplaytoy
Something is not right. You might have to many splices on a single wire. I blew fuse after fuse when installing my system. You shouldn't need a bigger fuse either.

I'm just getting pissed off about driving with no music
SSplaytoy
No. I had a wrong wire cut into the adapter. I have a pioneer avh-7500. I don't think alpines are the same. Just check the wiring again.
Krambo
If you used a standard wire harness, pull out the ground wire cut it as short as possible and ground it directly to the firewall. Be sure to have a solid ground (sand down the area). There is a good chance that this will help. It should also eliminate the "dimming" of the head unit's back lighting during peak power bursts....ie. dancing with the music. Sometimes the casing around the head unit creates a ground loop causing the symptoms you stated. You may need to also ground the casing as well. And finally, there may just be a miswiring or a short. Check again. Hope this may help.
