A Vendor of mine does Interior work and we are looking at producing a Center Console Padded Cover.

Looking at doing a Leather/Vinyl cover on Original lid or possibly an add on to rest on top.

Looking for interest and/or ideas.

My wife's Denali has a smooth (no tray) leather covered console cover. It seems to set a little taller than the cover in my truck and looks a lot nicer. Also, in the Denali, I don't even use the fold down armrest because the cover is tall enough and is more comfortable to use (I'm not a narrow fellow). So my answer is: I would be interested in a cover like is used in the Denali.

I would like to see it be a solid Pad, not tray. Maybe with stiching, possible Bow Tie

or SS.

I think the stitching would look good too, but we are trying to keep this simple to start. Every option that is added will add to the cost too.

As far as a picture, nothing has been done yet. We are gauging interest at this point.

If it goes over well, we will look into options and Different colors for the Avalanche, Tahoe Suburban and Yukon/XL.

Thanks for the input.

Standby:

Can you get a pic posted so we can see what you mean?  Sounds good as described.

Thanks!

This is the best I can do, don't know when I'll be able to get the digi cam and 'puter together again. Here's a link to a pic (look at the first two pics under "Interior" for Yukon XL Denali):

denali

While you are there, also look at the interior door handles, they look chrome in the pics, but they are more like black chrome. I'll be looking for some of these too!

Would be nice to have something that cobined the Denali and SS center console tops. I like having the rubber mat and another place I can put stuff, but the leather trim is nice also. Could you make something that would combine the two ideas? :dunno: An artist concept pic would be nice.

We are going to be looking into a Leather Cover for the factory lid with the tray and also a Padded top cover that fills in the tray area and makes it flush with the top.

Keep the Ideas coming

Thanks

The cover would be what I'm looking for. I would like to be able to use the center console as my arm rest. The seat arm rest isn't the best and it wears and needs replaced in 3 years or less. My 2001 LT had same seat and when I traded her in, the arm rest had cracked. If you could add the SS to both ideas would be great.
