Ron Randolph Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 Hi, I'm new here, I have a 99 Silverado LS 2wd that I bought from a friend a couple years ago. The truck had about 175,000 miles on it when I got it. It has run great up until recently when It developed a noise in the rear of the vehicle. It is a whining noise that occurs during acceleration and stops when I let off the gas. Also, lately I have noticed sometimes when I accelerate from a stop it is sluggish up until I reach about thirty five miles an hour. I have read somewhere that it could be the fuel pump or maybe a bearing, or maybe both. I'm here in Florida and I need to drive to Virginia some time this month and I need to get this fixed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, James Randolph Quote
dcairns Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 You would have better luck on a general Silverado forum. This one is specific to the Silverado SS. Your 99 pre-dates the Silverado SS by a few years, so the information here may not be very useful. Quote
