I have been trying to make the choice of what to install and finally decided to go with true duel Magnaflows on my 06 V-Max. I really only wanted to get 1 muffler w/duels out the back but the guy at the shop said I would get better sound and performance out of true duels. They are the mid size Magnaflows. It sounds great! A little louder than I really wanted but I'll live with it. Sounds much different than my 5.3 w/a 40 series Flowmaster, not quite as loud and raspy and a much deeper tone. Only complaint is I have a BAD in cab resonating drone between 1500-2000 rpm. It almost hurts my ears is so deep and pulsating. Any ideas how to get rid of this? I did not get an x-pipe or any type of cross-over between the pipes. The guy at the muffler shop said I didn't need them. I have always been under the impression you need something like that to balance out the system? Anyone else have this problem. Thoughts? Thanks!

Been a long time member of GM-Trucks....but just traded my 01 1500 z71 for a 06 1500 4x4 V-Max last week, so looks like I can get some great info from you SS guys now. My first question is about the tranny shifting from 1st to 2nd. It seems to have a longer shift time than all the other gears? Is this common for the 6L w/4.10? My 5.3L didn't do this. I got a Diablo tuner and tried to quicken that shift but even at the shortest shift setting it is still much longer than all other shifts. Changing the line pressure didn't help either. All the other gears are short and crisp now with the Diablo except 1st to 2nd. Any ideas?
