I need some help with viewing other members vehicles. The link is there with every member but when I click on it, it comes up with an error message. Anybody know how to get around it?

I tried getting "MyWhtHo" for my Tahoe.....but those california guys wouldn't let it slide.

I'd jump on this if I had $3400. Since I don't, I'll have to wait until you take Best offer

Is it just me, or should advertising like this be illegal? I mean it's no different than someone throwing ad wraped bricks into your home while you are watching television. All it does is congest the internet and pollute it. And frankly I had no idea why the google ads were all over everything I looked at. They are very much gone now though... Thanks Mister P. Anything else we can do like this? Any god websites to look at?

These wheels don't seem to be very sporty looking, not sure why, just my opinion...........SS Trucks should have sportier looking wheels.

Not sure he wants to answer that question, I think most people are trying to be unique with their mods, it wouldn't be unique if everyone had the same thing............ ;)

yes there is an adapter to make the steering wheel controls work. we sell them at my work but i dont know the part number off hand
thanks for the info, now I feel better about purchasing aftermarket.......ok, no more hijacking of this thread
still interested in purchasing the pioneer
-
if you have steering wheel controls for the radio those won't work and the annoying door chime will be gone
I may be wrong, but isn't there an adapter to make the steering wheel controls work?

I put the Clarion 755vd screen in mine and I had to get this box that allows an after market system to work I tihonk it was like $100 or so and it works great except if your listening very low then you hear a little buzzing. Not a big deal when your listening at normal levels it sounds great. The boss speakers sound a lot better now because the amp on the screen is stronger than stock.
You can try to fix this buzzing problem by shifting the radio wires a little. Move it a little to the left or right and then remount it back. I have tried this and got rid of the buzzing noise. I think the wires pick up interference, just move them a bit and hopefully that'll get rid of your buzz......

I just checked with my local dealer. A service bulletin has been released to replace the shaft with a new design. Here's the bad news : If your truck is out of warranty you will not be getting the steering shaft. my truck just hit 40000 miles so I am out of luck. GM is also losing a loyal customer. Hello Toyota
If you have complained about this issue to the dealer in the past and got it repaired (lubed).....the dealer should be able to do a goodwill replacement for you under warranty. Explain to them the problem was not fixed properly under warranty when the issue arised. As long as there was a complaint made on the problem under warranty, fixing it again shouldn't be a problem. Just have to be nice and speak with the service manager.

Hey Guys,
Had to sell my SS .. So now i am selling some of my other stuff that was in it... I am selling the radio, a Pioneer AVIC-N1 GPS/NAV/DVD Unit with Series 60 software (the newest) it comes with all original discs (version 40 and 50) and the series 60 discs are burned. I am asking 600 dollars for everything, The Radio, PAC Adapter, and Backup Cam. It is already setup and wired for any 2003-2007 Silverado With Bose. I will also throw in the mounting bracket as well. The radio alone on eBay is going for 400-700 dollars... The PAC Adapter (allows use of factory amp and onstar) i gave 100 dollars for, and 75 for the back up cam. Its virtually plug and play, all that needs to be done is a few wires hooked up, but the main harness is completely wired for our trucks. (i spent a good two hours on the main harness alone)
Thought i would give you guys a chance before i threw it on eBay.... Its still in perfect working condition, and still looks brand new...
Any Questions give me a shout!
Matt
send me some pics, I'm interested......
Question for those who know, will I lose any factory functions when replacing the factory radio?? email [email protected]
thanks.

oh yeah....CONGRATS!!

thanks for the help on the dumping pic. I have a spin tech muffler, really small and really loud. Gotta find a way to keep the sound outside the cab.......
i had a true dual setup with dual spintechs with a an x-pipe , cat delete dumped with 3 inch piping on my last truck 01 dodge and the interior resonance was ridiculously loud. sounded meaner than chit though.
those spintechs sure sound good from the outside........if I can't find a solution to the resonance, I might be going to corsa like my family Tahoe
-
there's more resonance with a dumped exhaust, imo. i hate my dumped muffler to be honest.. don't attempt this if you're wanting a quieter ride.
do you think the size of your muffler has anything to do with the loudness? I think if you get a bigger muffler, it won't be so bad.....at least that's what others keep telling me

This part bothers me, why are there 2 different PN's listed?
"Replace the I-Shaft with P/N 19153614.
Do NOT lubricate or exercise the I-Shaft.
Important:
• I-shaft P/N 19155614 has been designed to replace previous designed dampened and non-dampened I-shafts. The physical difference in the yoke size will accommodate all vehicles listed in this bulletin. "
GM PART # 19153614
$72.07 at gmpartsdirect. Hopefully that's the right one to replace

Dumping your exhaust will make it louder. Basically you cut the pipes after the muffler and drop it under the truck.
There is a pic in this thread.
I can't seem to click on any pictures, always comes up with an error. Anybody have pictures that can be posted without having to click on anything?
I'm not really looking to get the rumble out of my truck, just the resonance level inside the cab is a bit loud. Think dumping the exhaust will cut that resonance?
-
I know I may be a bit slow here, but what exactly does dumping the exhaust mean? Pics would be helpful. I have a really loud exhaust and dumping seems to be what is working for some folks to quiet it down.
Welcoming all the 2cents you guys have on this subject........
