does anyone know the spark plug reach for the SS?

Funnels! thats too fancy for me ha ha chase, that is a nasty ss, is it still street driveable? like cruise around and go have fun? or is it strickly a drag truck?

i picked up some sea foam as advised as well. tomorrows full tank will get that treatment. only thing i don't understand is, such an odd container, how do pour that stuff in my tank!

no dtc's have ever popped up on my truck. i did the math its 9.8 on the dash and 10mpg on paper. i switch the computers around from summer to winter because of the traction control option. its a 2wd.

also, whats a DTC?

i'll check everything over, being that its a 05 with less the 70k, my dealership would have to replace the cat's for free right? also, clogged cats would cause it to studder at idle?

05 2wd, intake exhaust. i've been suffering with under 10MPG for the last six months of driving my truck. usually its around 14 mpg, which isn't bad. i'm not very heavy in the trottle, specially with the winter conditions. i've haven't changed anything, its still only got 40k on the motor. regular synthetic oil change. just been driving it. it almost seems i get better gas mileage in the summer when i switch computers to my reprogrammed pcm. does anyone have any advice on how to improve my MPG ?

hey guys, i got a 05 ss with dual exhaust and flowmaster 40's right now, and it sounds great and love it alot but my brother who works nights and lives with me can't stand it when i come and go because i keep him up all day. i'm looking for just some replacement mufflers that would be quiet during idle and warm-up but would have some good sound to them if i 'got on it' any recommendations or videos, etc anything, would be much appreciated. thanks in advance

i was doing a break stand and afterwords i was left with my mph gauge stuck at 40. it goes up as i drive, but doesn't go lower then 40. did i break something or should i just take it apart and twist something backwards? anyone have any experience in this sorta thing? thanks in advanced

i got one that came off my ss that i would part with. the only problem is you would need to fix the spring because it likes to just flap in the wind.

no, i bought the truck almost new (6k on it) and bagged it. then put nitrous on it. i was trying to sell it back then and am still trying to sell it. nobody in the northeast has the need for this kinda ride.

how much do you think i'd be charged to paint a gas door? i'm not much of a body shop guy, more mechanical.

i have a 05 ss with the GM chrome fuel door. the spring system on it has seen better days, and now sags, *did sag till i ripped it off does anyone know where i can find a black stock OEM fuel door for my silverado. it doesn't have to be new or anything great. just black, thanks in advance for any help. and please don't point me to a webside with salvaged parts, like auto-parts.com i can't seem to find a fuel door listing on the entire site.

no, actually my problem lies within the difference between the front and rear height of my truck, my front end is like 4 inches taller then the back, and it looks like i'm hauling bricks 24/7 yea, the obvious answer that every **** says to me on a daily basis "why don't you just let some air out of the front bags?" well, if i do that, i throw my alignment out the window, the camber goes to shit, i wear those 220 dollar tires, and it bounces like my ol' ladys juggs on the tread mill. i was hoping to find some 3 inchers atleast, i remember way way back, i forgot who made them, but you could get 3 inch drop spindel for s10s, they stopped making them, no clue why.

Hey fella's i found myself in a dillema again, i'm in search for drop spindels for my 05 2wd, the only ones i find are 400 bucks from summit racing. i'm looking for something cheaper for one, does anyone know where to look? and two, does anyone make a spindel that drops more then 2 inches? 3 maybe 4? thanks in advance.

i'd keep it simple, glock 19 is a really good carry weapon and can be found used for under 500. they are almost indestructable, and its something you can carry for years without needed to clean it. the 15 round mag makes well when needed. i've personally carried one for years, its never failed. another i carried for years is the sig 225, 8 round 9mm, but very very slim, and can be carried at the small of your back easily and concealibly. you can pick one up from aimsurplus.com for 259 used. which is a bargan because they are one of the most accurate guns i've shot. its listed under the name of sig p6 i believe. the m&p is a good gun, but very big in frame, my shooting buddy just picked up a .45 m&p. it runs fine but feels more like a paintball gun when it comes down to brass tacs. i'm sure its a good gun and will suit you fine, but don't pay over 500 for a used one thats for sure. for 500 you can get a number of excellent carry weapons. .40 cal is also a good caliber, but 9mm is what you want, the more capacity you have the better chances you have to come out of ahead of your game. and for those of you that put up their nose at 9mm let me tell you, it will stop you in your tracks. i got shot 4 years ago with a 9mm and it went through me sideways. from my shoulder to the other side of my ribs, taking out my lung and spine in the process. for the person that thinks 9mm is a joke, i'm a living example of what it can do. if you need some more reading on it, silencertest.com's forum is a great place to learn about guns. but i warn you, you'll be suppressing everything you own. i just recently bought a full auto mac-11 with suppressor and its addicting.

i bagged my ss, and its the best thing i've ever done. don't let these old timers give you shit for 'hacking' up your precious truck. they rather put dale stickers on the back window and call it cool.
