  1. You can open it up if you want. You won't gain much power or torque with a stock motor, but it should change the sounds you hear from the intake. You should open it if you have NOS, turbo or supercharger.
  2. 12'SROCK, Are you having an overheating problem?
  3. Did you do the dyno runs with the hood open or closed?
  4. The Outlaw Power NeverOil filter flows better than the stock paper filter AND has better micron filtration. See their FAQ: www.outlawpower.com/productdocs/Filter_FAQ.pdf The Outlaw Power NeverOil, AEM DryFlow and Donaldson Nano are the only oil-free filters that filter and flow better than stock paper elements. The Outlaw Power NeverOil and AEM DryFlow are both waterproof. The Donaldson Nano/Amsoil AE paper filters are not waterproof i.e. the nano fibers clump if washed.
  5. See this post for how much the Outlaw Power, old and new Volant did versus Stock. The tests were done by a few members of this forum. http://www.SilveradoSS.com/forums/index.ph...st&p=365303
  6. Mixing it with water will help slow the meth evaporation a little. What will happen is that the meth will evaporate more quickly than the water and pretty soon, effectively, all the meth will be gone but just the water will be remaining.
  7. You just installed an aftermarket cold air intake. So now when your AC is on, your aftermarket intake system senses the lower AC temperatures and reroutes the cold air into your engine and dumps the hot air into the passenger compartment. This is how they make more power...by drawing in colder air into the engine. I don't think it's April 1st.
  8. By looking at the original poster's equipment, I don't think that he is doing any SPL competitions. Get the cap for SQ. Forget the cap for SPL.
  9. e-cut outs with an rpm trigger is sweet. At low rpm's your get the torque of a full exhaust, however, at high rpms you get the horsepower of an open exhuast. Basically, alll you do is take your truck to the dyno, do runs with the full exhaust and then with the exhaust open. You will then compare the two graphs and you will notice the rpm at which the full exhuast starts to loose power but the open exhaust actually increases. That will be your desired trigger rpm.
  10. For my daily commute, I want to get an old 1980s Mercedes Turbo Diesel . Remove the muffler and it sounds like a semi truck.
  11. Here are some free ones: Remove the spare tire. Increase tire pressure. Improve your driving habits: http://www.motherjones.com/news/feature/20...ml?welcome=true 59mpg in a normal Accord, not hybrid
  12. I have the Outlaw Power intake system with their oiled cotton filter: http://www.outlawpower.com/productdetail.php?sc=1274 It's about time for me to wash and re-oil the cotton filter that came with their kit but I am interested in getting their NeverOil filter also. I called Outlaw Power and they said that I could order the NeverOil filter directly from them. http://www.outlawpower.com/productdocs/Filter_FAQ.pdf Does anybody have their NeverOil filter? Your experience with it? Thanks!
  13. My favorite is FP60 from www.lubecontrol.com . FP3000 will be out soon, the new version. It's the highest rated injector and fuel system cleaner here : http://theoildrop.server101.com/forums/pos...&Board=UBB5
