  3. wow I like them Dropstars with the bezel system right? the colors play off the truck nicely. How hard does the bezel come off ? what holds it on? again looks really good and better then the same old type of rim most run. IMO
  4. Very cool chase I knew you where up to something
  5. rojo_143 I found a roll at joanns fabric it was like 35 bucks a yard I think . Took me a couple months to locate some i could see in person.
  6. Looks great I did alittle thing like that when I get bored late summer. All I did was cut out 1/4" mdf to fit when the rubber instert was. cut out some foam to match the SS logo guled and wrapped it . Time was about 1 hour and it looks pretty good half the the people that see it think it is factory. I love seeing other guys custom interior's , fun stuff!
  7. congrats man it is great I just had a son 4 months ago. best of luck.
  8. great post I am in the process of doing this right now. I started with the roof when i did the headliner awhile back. now I'm working on tht rest pretty slowly. I did a little research on the net and found rammatt product. It is very sticky and had a good price , and seems to be working as they said it would. I have had alot noise with this truck so i'm trying to do a really good job at killing this. I did notice a diffrents right away when I did the roof as I also foam filled the a-pillers and other spots around the roof line and sealed up the rear windows. I'm also upgrading my stero system but I will post that up later I figuer i got about 2 months to finish. here some pic of the project.
  9. I have been looking at them for awhile and hopefully will order some in a month or so. I found a pretty good site autoseatskins they have a DIY install kit for 90 buck with a dvd And you can get embroiedery with SS or Silverado SS which is cool. I just order the leather sample book to match up colors with mine headliner and they will credit your order if you get the seat covers. If anyone has any tips let us know. tryied to fix link but can't get it right it is Autoseatskins.com
  10. HAZMAT - did you ever find out what happend or set off the codes again ? I had this happen today on my 4.8 work truck. drove to work in the moring with a -7 * temp and was fine. went out to breakfast 3 hours later and didn't notice a engine light. I saw the engine light on about a hour later on my way home, stop at checkers for a scan and these codes came up. I cleared them and drove home with out it coming back on. mostly a stock truck but have a tune ,new fuel fiter, new MAFS, plugs wires , new cats , new cat back, new trans and cai . I'm thinking maybe some small fuel frezze up and with the tune it tripped ??? is there any thing I should look at or check out. I going to park in the garage tonight it's going down to -15* , I love working out side.
  11. I found mine at a jo anns fabric store. I don't know if you heard of them or live by one but you could try some of type of fabric store. no guarantee you find it there but worth a try.
  12. Ok I just got some pic of the rear window foam. This is really easy guys. this is the foam You can just see the foam on the black window seal and I turned the coners around the whole window You need to pull off the rear window to do it right. Just unhook the latch and carefully pull the glass open more so the plastic "hinges" come out. don't drop the glass! run the foam around the seal and put the glass back in, make sure it is in all the way. bam no more wind noise. I did mine about six months ago and no bad side effects yet. hope this helps
  13. I have heard mixed reviews on those, so I got some 3/8" x 1/4" thick foam from manards. the stuff you use around windows and doors. I made sure it was close foam so it didn't hold water. I pull the rear window completly off and ran it around the balck seal. put the window back in and it was night and day I had alot of wind noise before now it seals up great. just make sure you get the window back in all the way.
  14. I bet thats loud and louder looks good though.
  15. sounds great man I can't wait to get some headers on mine
  16. wow that sounds crazy definitely know theres some work under the hood at the stoplights
  17. I've been thinking the samething and will probably go this route .
  18. wow that looks great wish I could get mine that clean .
  19. That look nice man I better not show the wife I know she wants one.
  20. Ya I here you there but one thing at a time. I'm going to get the seats done with the same matrial as inserts and do the SS in blue thead of course, front and back headrests. I use meguiar's gold class cleaner/conditioner wipes, super eazy to use and looks good. i learned to wipe down the seats with microfiber cloth after applying and not to do the steering wheel and I know I could toss someone out of the truck with the right coner Not yet and Thanks for the good words guys now I get to work on the preformance side.
