i wouldnt mind havin zippy work some of his magic on my ss. but.....i am in south dakota and im pretty sure zippy is many many miles from here

up here in south dakota tint laws are 35% on the front 2 then 20% on the rest. Im goin with 5% all around even over my smoked glass in the back of the truck. I wont be able to see out but it will look nice. In south dakota nobody cares what you have for tint.

Hello everyone. Ive been browsing the site for about 2 months now deciding if I wanted an SS or a Duramax. I made my decision 2 weeks ago and went with the SS and I am not disappointed. I live in Brookings South Dakota and you dont see many sport trucks around here. Mainly big off-road trucks. I have seen one real Silverado SS in town and 3 or 4 clones. If anyone of you guys is on this site you should pm me. Id love to learn more about my truck. Kenny

got my truck back from the exhaust guy. I dunno...i like my straights. they have a deep tone to them but yet it is very good sounding at WOT. i do not think it sounds like hell and Im not a hick. Thank you for all the input though. Kenny

I am located in Brookings SD. and yes I know i asked for suggestions, mainly for the reason that if I dont like the sound of the straights Id like to turn around and throw a set of mufflers on right away b4 the truck leaves the shop. Im new to the SS game and would like to know more about these great trucks, and this forum is great as well. alot of help and alot of great information. Thanks guys Kenny

I think that I am going to see how the straights sound when the truck is done. I know what sounds good and doesnt sound good. If it sounds like hell Ill do something a little different. Thanks for all the information guys. I listened to some clips of the flowmaster 40s and I really liked the sound of them. Kenny

it shouldnt be a problem with cops. i had straights on a 5.7 tahoe just b4 this truck and i didnt have any questions from the law. if they do catch ya for exaust they give ya some time to fix it.

i will be running the pipes down the passanger side then split out to the rear corners of the box.

I have an appointment to get exaust done to my SSS this week and as of right now Im going with 2 true pipes right out of the cats. is there any downfall to this? will it throw off some error codes? I know its gunna be loud as hell, but in my town in South Dakota noone cares so I shouldnt get into much trouble with it. Please let me know what you guys think about this. Thanks in advance, Kenny

i just raced a hemi dodge extended cab in the twin cities this weekend...smoked him goin down the interstate....went by a cop in the median at 110 mph. i wasnt too happy about that but he stayed there so i guess it was ok. then next up was a dodge with the viper motor....but he turned b4 we had a chance to race.....i think he was scared

jakerz...where are you from. if your around the dakotas maybe i can ask around if anyone would like one around here. everyone that i know is envyous of my truck right now.

im in south dakota and as far as ive seen....silverado ss's are rare up here....and by the way. i just got the truck today and all i can say is wow. i love this truck. I havent had an opportunity to test the limits just yet though. but i love it. Kenny
