    Windows Vista

Yeah vista had issues working with some of the programs I was using a year ago when I got my new home pc, ended up going back to xp on it. My new laptop will be here soon & im pretty sure its got vista premium preloaded so we'll see how that works out, not necessarily looking forward to vista again lol.
  2. Its not the only way but it is definitely the easiest way. No but thats not to say we couldn't add it, to this point I don't recall anyone requesting it to be honest. We have several resellers and you can also purchase through us directly. -Bill
  3. Its probably one of the PE enablers thats still enabled like the % tq or something, usually a case of simply 0ing out the enablers & using the TPS vs rpm enabler.
  4. All the differences are listed here http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2924 most opt for the Pro version for the standalone datalogging capabilities & the ability to log a wideband right into our software which makes tuning much easier when matted with our custom histograms.
  5. Either will work just fine, the pro version simply adds standalone datalogging(no laptop needed in vehicle) as well as adds provisions for inputing a wideband o2 sensor, etc as well as two outputs. -Bill

    Need Help!

Yeah running leaded fuel will quickly kill stock o2 sensors.
  7. Did he retune for larger rim or tire size? If so that could be a large part of the problem. Many late model trucks store the tire size in the abs module as well for reference so if theres a discrepancy between the abs module & the pcm you'll get abs codes popping up. Fix would be to have someone with access to a tech 2 program your abs module to match the figures in your pcm.
  8. Wouldnt matter if god himself typed it out, the truth is the truth and the comparison is accurate.
  9. I like how hptuners is lightyears ahead of efilive in vehicle support, price, licenses with your initial purchase, Real time tuning using the stock pcm, & actually having standalone datalogging. I could go on but the comparison http://mysite.verizon.net/whenn1//HPTvsV2.pdf points out the advantages for you. You chose efilive because they had support for your LBZ a few months before hptuners. And now your still waiting on support for E67 & most E38 pcm's and P12 pcm's that we've supported for over a year now.
  10. you can find them much cheaper. That kit just happens to come with 16 different face plates, but honestly who cares? lol, you only need 1
  11. the reason you could be GETTING that code is because your exhaust flanges are leaking. Usually the p017x codes are a mechanical issue of some sort rather than a tuning issue. Just FWIW. -Bill

also keep in mind your gauges are fully customizable so you can change at which temp the gauge will light up just by right clicking the gauge and clicking the properties button.
  13. www.hptuners.com www.efilive.com www.ls1tech.com all three have gobs of information, stickies & such. This is my personal favorite http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11178 Thanks guys for the warm welcome
  14. You'd be amazed at how many have both tools...hptuners has support for so many vehicle efilive has been SAYING they'll have support for soon, many have since added hptuners to their toolbox. You can't go wrong with either, but when it takes 12 or 16 months to come out with support people get sick of waiting after a while.
