hey are you getting the tickets over at 32nd st or at North Island? I never see any SSs around on the NAB side where I'm at. What time are you guys showing up to the track?
Im actually getting mine at Nimitz near Point Loma Sub base. I think Im going to get there when it opens at 630 this time. I want to get some pics before it gets dark. If you want to meet up just give my a call 619-534-0392.

have two radix tensioners if you need one,one new and the other slightly used.
will that work to replace my stock one? my trucks not sc it tc
-
So let me guess, you have the Dayco tensioner?
Not sure its the stock one.
-
I will have to check that out.I have a comp cams billet tensioner I like it a lot.
Thanks for the infoNot sure of your blower, but Magnuson sells a new stronger tensioner. I forget the actual manufacturer, but check their site. -
So today I went to get my AC fixed and it turned out to be my tensioner that was messed up. This is the second time Ive had to deal with this in like a year. They told me the extra power was wearing it out quickly. Has anyone else had this problem with FI applications. Recommendations? Upgrades tensioners?
Thanks

We will have to see if I am still here Doug
Right on!

How "high stall" do you want? I have a Trailblazer converter that gave my truck about 2600 stall. I also have a Yank 3200 in my truck that I may consider taking out. $250 for the TB shipped. It has less than 5,000 miles on it.
Thanks, but I just got on off monster transmission.com
-
I just destroyed my torque converter and instead of replacing it, I think a High Stall Converter would be the way to go. So if anyone is trying to sell one please hit me up asap. Thanks
-
I bought the tuner originally with my STS turbo kit for my 03 Silverado SS. Which it still has the tune loaded on it for my truck. Im selling it because I switched to Nelson Tune. It can be a pretty useful tool and help sqeeze some HP out of your ride. Here is the link with all the details you need. http://www.diablosport.com/index.php?modul...play&pid=66 It retails for $369.99!

How was the install (time/difficulty). I heard most of the NOS kits are pretty easy to install.
NOS -Check out this threadNos Kit= NX (Nitrous Express) or NOS This is the kit I have
As far as shot size, Im not sure because your have another method of forced induction.
AND I also recomend getting a wideband, electric fuel pressure and electric nitrous pressure gauges.
Heres My set up Click Me

Thanks for the info. Have you heard anything about the ZEX kit. I was checking out there site and they have a kit for our trucks. And if I have meth injection, do you think that will effect it at all. Thanks Again
This is a subject you will get many answers on.As for a kit, I perfer the NX wet kit. But NOS makes a very good kit, and I have been hearing a lot of good things about TNT nitrous kits also.
As for extra maintance, you will have to keep an eye on your spark plugs and change your oil more often.
150 Shot with a single stage wet kit is about the max with a proper tune, trans upgrades, etc. Misused, nitrous can be a engine killer. So do your homework. It will be worth it in the long run.
As for items to get along with it, Bottle heater, Fuel pressure safety switch, Purge, Blow down tube, Guages Colder spark plugs.
Do a search on here there has been a lot of talk about nitrous here lately.

Ive been thinking about adding a nitrious kit to my SS. I currently have a STS turbo kit and Meth injection. Im trying to do my homework before I start this project and I have a few questions for those who have experience in this area.
- Recommended NOS kits for my truck
- Is there any extra maintenance involved or damaged that can be caused to the engine from running NOS.
- Whats the biggest shot of NOS I should use
- Recommended upgrades, gauges, etc
Any other tips and info that you know could help thanks again.

I will definitly drive out to ca speedway for something like that. Thanks for the heads up!
well when ever you want some friednly comp , come out to ca speedway, there are private track rental days that only about 100 people can come , its great for tuning and gettign alot of runs in , check out alternativemotoring.com for info . should be some fast ss trucks in the next few months attending. -
I was concerned about the trucks wheelbase not fitting too, because all of the other AWD dynos Ive contacted couldnt support my truck size. I called LAPD yesterday to set up an appointment and they said that my truck would have no problem fitting.
unless lapd has a dynapack im pretty sure it wont fit the ss wheel base

Sounds good. Your helmet has to be snell 2000 or better. But they usually have rentals there for $20 if you dont have one. If your running NOS you need a fire jacket of some sort. If you go to racelegal.com they have all the requirements. I would bring a pen to fill out your inspection sheet. And they make you remove the caps on your rims so your hubs are exposed. When you get there give me a call and I will meet up with you. Later
