I'll definately get some pics, and I'm trying to get a video camera to take with me. Should I do anything as far as dropping weight? I was thinking I could just run it how I drive it every day, give me an idea there, then next time to the track go on a diet. What else can I do to the truck without having to worry about the warranty? I know I'm kind of limited, but just curious.

Alright guys, I've got an 07 Classic V-Max crew cab, and I'm taking her to the track for the first time friday night. I've done a LITTLE drag racing on a track before, but it was on a quad playing around a couple years ago, but we did use the tree, etc. Here's my mods: Volant CAI True 3" dual magnaflows coming out in front off the pass. rear tire Predator Tuner I guess what I'm looking for is some tips and tricks to help me do better my first time out, I'm not expecting too much but I'd like to establish a good baseline for future trips. Should I try and get my tank of 87 dry and put ~1/4 tank of 91 in and switch to the performance tune?? I'm trying to scrounge up a nitrous kit to use for the night, but the only time I ran nitrous all I had was the CAI, and we ran a 100shot and it did AWESOME. So I'm kinda leary about running the spray with the tuner, thinking if I do I should pull some timing??? Once I get a full time nitrous kit and some other goodies on the truck, I want to get it on the dyno and get a nitrous tune made. My only problem is that Firebird requires you wear a SFI fire jacket if you have any aftermarket power adder, so i gotta come up with something to cover me there. thanks in advance for the input!!

Hey guys I've got a 07 V-Max, already did true duals with two 3" magnaflows out the side in front of the passenger side rear tire, now I'm looking at some LT's. I bought two magnaflow high flow cats when i got my mufflers, but never installed them, would I be able to get a set of pacesetters and then use those when I have a new system fab'd up?? Thanks!

And yeah, whoever was saying stock trucks smoke, has been smoking something themselves lol.

you won't be disappointed! I'm running two 3" magnaflows dumped out in front of the passenger side rear tire on my v-max and it sounds awesome!! Sounds great when you start it and at idle, it's really mellow crusing, even at ~85, and it sounds MEAN at WOT

Yeah the LLY isn't as bad ass as the lbz, but they still run good. Raced another buddy with a lly d-max and he's dropped on 22s, same wheels as the lifted lbz, just this truck is lowered, and he also has a chip, intake, and exhaust and he only pulls to my front bumper, and that's only out of the hole, from a roll we're even. This was also with just the intake, I've yet to race either one now that i have a programmer and exhaust. The 100 shot actually worked really well on the truck. Like I said I ran it with only the intake on, but WOW it was stupid fast. BUT I wouldn't recommend it if you drive the truck a lot, we only had it on for a weekend, mostly to race that one truck, but I ran unleaded race gas in the truck, and we probably could've ran 150 shot, but I would've had to change plugs, plus I don't know how well the tranny would've held up. It was slipping sooooooooo bad going into 2nd, but I'm thinking it was most likely the torque management?? From what i've read, these 6.0 motors are pretty bullet proof if you don't get stupid with them.

What body style is your truck? regular cab? Because if it's an LBZ d-max that isn't lifted and you beat him, there's no way you did it in a crew cab lol. I raced a friend of mines LBZ and he's lifted with 22s and i think 37s, and he beat me with his chip on extreme. He has an intake and 5" exhaust also. On stock tune we were damn close. At the time all I had was an intake on my 07 classic v-max. On another note, I raced him again with a 100 shot and no other mods and KILLED him by about 4-5 lengths
