  1. At a 100mph he has no traction. He needs slicks. What are his 60' times? Jamest
  2. 2000.00 minus the wastegate and intercooler. I have someone interested in it alreay, but if it falls thru I will let you know.
  3. I will. I am currently at 13.4 at 105mph on street tires with the old setup. There was no traction, but I have slicks now for the new setup. Jamest
  4. Just pull the plugs and find the oily one. It sounds like to me you had some bad detonation. You may have a bad piston. This would explain the high volume of blow by you have. Does the truck run more rough than normal? I wouldn't get on it, you may have piston about to go. Look at the plugs first, find the bad ones and do a leak test.Good Luck,JamesJust pull the plugs and find the oily one. It sounds like to me you had some bad detonation. You may have a bad piston. 5. Haven't been on in a while, but the STS Turbo is coming off for a front mount system. Allen Nelson is doing all the work. Took the heads off to get them cleaned up. I am going with the T76 Turbonetics turbo. This system should give me at least 100 more HP. What do ya'll think? http://www.trickperformanceproducts.com/ Check It out and tell me what you think? I have seen this system on a stock 6.0L in a rcsb truck running 11's on street tires. The truck has now a 4 link system and slicks. We are going to try for 10's Friday on this system in San Antonio. James
  6. Its great. This is an odd ball truck. I ordered this truck in 2000. Its actually a 3/4 ton, but sits like a 1/2 ton and has front coil spring instead of torsion bars. The motor and trans and rear are stock. 6.0L LQ4 low compression 9.0 to 1, 4l80E trans, and the 14 bolt with the ol gernade 80 rear with a 3.73 to 1. The truck has run a 13.4 at 105mph with no traction in Houston and that is with a 2.00 60 ft. I know that this truck is a 12 sec truck the way it sits now if I had my slicks on I probably would've hit it. Oh well, the truck is going under the knife in 2 weeks. I will be running a t76 or even an 80. Jamest
  7. The STS has been good, But the oil pump has gone out twice. I am tired of cleaning oil out of the intercooler and intake piping. Yes STS has a Garrett gt 60-7. It pushes 10 psi and hauls ass. The new trick is a front mount and has no oil pump to go out. The boost is instant on the Trick. It is a new setup and not a lot of people have it yet. I have seen it run on a motor like mine LQ4 in a SWB SC running 11.5 with limited traction. thats with 3.42 rear end. Jamest
  8. What about the new Trick Turbo? It's a front mount system like the Livernois. They are very efficient with no turbo lag. I have seen a stock 6.0L with a Zo6 can and 918 springs, with the Trick Turbo go 11.5 in the quarter with limited traction in San Antonio. I have the STS, but just bought this system. Allen Nelson of Nelson Performance will be putting it on in the next couple of weeks. Jamest
  9. Had oil come thru the intake caused by the STS turbo oil pump going out. Anyway, got it all cleaned out and the truck was running ruff. . I poored in a can of seafoam with a full tank of gas and 10 mls later the truck is running as if its brand new. I do not have a very noticable lope, but the truck idles with no hesitation. At idle it sounds just like stock. I like it. I think it works well. Jamest
  10. Hey guys I am taking off the STS Turbo and going with the new Trick Front mount turbo. I have a Garrett .67 and want to go a little bigger for the front mount. What brand of turbo is the best and longest lasting? I have heard good things about turbonetics and Garrett. What are your thoughts? Jamest
  11. It takes a lot of tweaking. I have a stock LQ4 running 7 psi and doing 13.4 at 105mph with no traction. So I need a little more tweaking. I am putting on an electric boost controller, so we will turn up the boost and hope we don't blow anything. I should be in the 12 when I get my slicks on. Jamest
  12. Cool. I understand. My LQ4 runs good right now as it is. Allen Nelson did all the work and S/D tuning. I have a custom intercooler that was made in San Antonio. I am running close to 600hp at the crank and 475 hp at the wheels. I would say 15psi and some n2o if I needed it. I just bought some M/t wheels and some M and H dot slicks 30". I know weird combo, but that was the only 8 lug wheel I could find that weighs 25lbs a piece. I am shooting for mid 12's if I can hook up. I ran a 13.4 with 20" rims/street tires at 105 mph spinning when the boost came on. Hopefully the new slicks will give me a little more traction. Jamest
  13. What kind of mods do you have? I am planning a 408 right now from Texas Speed Engineering. Going to be running diamond forged pistons 8.5 to 1 comp. L92 heads gmpp Intake and going bigger turbo to push 20 - 25 psi. Right now I am running the GT 67 turbo, 10 psi right now, but 12 psi soon once I get the Profec type S controller in. Jamest
  14. Nice burn out, will it do it on dry pavement like that? What are you running motor wise an LQ9? Any power boosters? Nice truck! Jamest
  15. Gald to hear you like it. Allen knows his stuff. They are so backed up, but thats a good thing for business. He is truly a master when it comes to tunes. I know him personally and can vouch for him anytime. He has done all the work on my truck and it is awesome. My truck runs like a normal everyday truck, but when you punch it you better hold on. I have broke the rear tires loose at 50 mph, talk about scary. Oh and my truck is a 3/4 ton truck. My best a the track so far is a 13.4 spinning at 105 mph. I have some slicks now so when the weather cools down, I will shoot for twelves. Jamest
  16. I see your point. Like in my LQ4, I make my power fairly low in the rpm range. I think my limiter is set a 6200? I could be wrong. Anyway, I am going to go all forged internals on the next motor. Any negatives from Texas Speed? I hear they are pretty reputable. Jamest
  17. thanks guys, i got the same answer on two different forums. i guess my decision is no on the stock crank. thanks for the info. jamest
  18. i am wanting to run a turbo on it. I would do all forged internals, i was just wondering if the crank would hold 800hp. my stock lq4 is holding 590 hp at the crank right now cross my fingers. Jamest
  19. I was looking at buying a used motor that has an LS1 crank in it and was wondering how much power the crank can hold? Jamest
  20. Is that what that means? I just can type faster that way. My bad. i will do all lower case. Like the sig, very distracting jamest
  21. NO NOT ME. MUST BE ANOTHER ON THERE NOW. I ONLY HAVE 2 VEHICLES. JAMEST
  22. YEA JAMES ONLY THE T WAS LEFT OFF. T IS FOR MY MIDDLE NAME.
  23. IT WAS THE HEMI TRUCK CLUB SIGHT. NO I HAD THE CHEVY ALREADY, ITS THE ONE IN MY SIG. I TALKED ABOUT MY TRUCK AND TRIED TO STIR UP A RACE WITH A HEMI GUY, B/C HE WAS BOASTING ONE OF MY FRIENDS ON THE LS1TRUCK WEBSIGHT. ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE B/C I WAS TALKING UP MY TRUCK AND NOT THE COMMANDER WITH THE HEMI. THE ADMIN KICKED ME OFF. ITS ALL GOOD THOUGH NO PUN INTENDED. JAMEST
