  1. I have a clean low milage silverado SS forsale. It has a lineX and a truxedo lo-pro and newer (5k miles) Kuhmo STX tires. Its clean low milage. But I have decided to get rid of my dedicated race car and buy a car I can track and daily drive. So I know longer need a truck. I would be willing to trade for a E46 M3 (coupe), C5 Z06, STI... with similar milage +/- cash as needed. Asking $22999 Email me at [email protected] for questions and pictures.
  2. Well I am not sure what your talking about. A splitter typically runs horizontal with the ground, front air dam is vertical with the ground. I run a splitter on my eclipse. Actually it is just cut out of 1/4" plywood (yea it sounds getto but it works very well!, and doesn't look bad) This could also be easily done by purchasing a Carbon Fiber Panel instead of the plywood. Call Dragon Plate or another manufacture for pricing. What do you want this for? Drag Racing, Road Racing, Looks? I ran my stock truck this weekend in an Open Road Race averaging 90 mph and it handled good, I don't think a splitter or wing would really affect anything because the Silverado is a 5200lbs brick (it would take a very serious areo package to do anything!)
  3. Yea its completely stock. I put it in 2 with tow haul mode on. It didn't push to bad but when it did it actually caused the truck to want to buck which made it really difficult. I found it best always brake in a straight line, trail braking etc didn't seem to help. Left foot braking around a sweeper also caused it to buck so it was best to just go in slow and keep it smooth. I probably won't ever run the truck again in an AutoX but it was fun. The Open Road Challenge should be fun since the corners aren't so tight. I just really wish my eclipse would never break but it was fun running the truck.
  4. Here is a picture of the SSS. The wider corners were really fun the tight corners sucked! Would Never have thought you could controllably drift a SSS

    AutoX

So i decided to AutoX my truck this weekend for Sh*t's and Giggles. what a heavy beast! Good thing I had new tires waiting to be put on. The SSS is my tow rig for my race car, but since I have been having so many problems with the racecar I am starting to race the tow rig... O well I am racing the truck this weekend in an Open Road Challenge (slow touring class). It should be a good time. Has anyone else ever ran there SS on at a road course or AutoX.
  6. I am entered in to run the SORC www.sorcrace.com the beginning of next month with my eclipse (set up for road racing). But I have been having alot of issues with it this summer and spent $$$ fixing crap. So I started thinking about running my SSS (aka tow vehicle), entry fee would be cheaper and I wouldn't have to purchase a bunch of extra safety equipment (fire suit, nomex underwear, gloves...). Its a completely stock 03 AWD. Do you guys think the truck could average 90 mph over 55 miles through the sand hills of NE. (I know the driver can but can the truck) I have never driven it at those speeds, is it responsive at speeds over 80mph? Most of the time when I am on the highway I am towing my race car. It tows nice at 80mph not sure how much is left in it though or if it falls off shortly there after?
  7. Wanted to Say Hi Name is Ryan Rusher I just purchased a 03 Red SSS with only 20,000 miles. I needed something larger to tow my Race Car (90' Eclipse GSX set up for NASA SU, SCCA ITE). Also I am a design engineer for Shur Co. Automotive (Truxedo tonneau covers). They are hands down the best soft rollup tonneau on the market. I will get some pictures up later its been rainy and crappy here the truck needs a little wash job. It is completely stock now however it won't be for long. Its getting a sprayed in bedliner ASAP Looking for recommendations. Leaning towards LineX but suggestions welcome. Tonneau Covers will be always changing since that is my Job. Bell Tech Lowering kit, and a firestone Air Ride for the rear (towing) Probably do a little to the motor but not much, intake, exhaust, tune Since this is my daily driver and car hauler it needs to be reliable and I have a crazy fast car if I want to go fast. Anyway looks like a great site looking forward to being part of the SSS community.
  8. I am so glad this show is back on, it was my favorite show over this last winter. Since LOST is really slowing down in my opinion.
  9. I might just have to take break from the track some weekend and go sit by the river and drink some cold ones. It probably would be a good change. But I love the smell of race fuel Looks very peaceful and nice setup..
  10. I run only run Hawk Pads in my Race Car. I like them because they hold up, I can get 3+ track days on them and they don't fade etc. Granted this is a different compound than the Hawk Superduty but I am going to guess those are just as good of pads. Actually I will be ordering another set today.
  11. Sounds like a nice toy. Are you only going drag race? Ever thought of AutoX, CRX's are so easy and fun to toss around the Autocross. (i am trying to get my 5 posts so I can introduce my self properly!)
