2k4 with 35k, bought it 2 years ago with 10k on it, still smelled new.. only they iam wanting to do is park it nezt winter, salt and brine here in iowa is hard on the paint, plus to many idiots that cant drive. just would feel better with a beater bouncing off curbs, than my SS baby..

oh ya, I am using an AMSOIL Blue dry filter.. yep them Oil filters pull oil into the MAF..

i really like the Volant, pricy but made a custom cover, plus the ram air tube that comes up from underneath, you can get great results with stock box, free flow filter, and the important thing is the intake tube.. getting rid of the stock tube with all that extra area for baffeling they use to quiet the air.. iam sure everybody agrees that the thing sounds like a ol 4 barrell when you get into it after th swap.. open air intakes are not really a cold air intake, they are still pulling hot ait air from underneath the hood.. a true cold air intake should have a seal box pulling fresh, cooler air from outside the engine compartment.. i have had the true flow system from being sponsored by them, both the original and the XDI.. watch their video on the thier website, its very informational on how the intakes work and will hep you make a good decsion on what ever brand you use.. just one SS'ers opinion good luck

well worth it for sure.. having a real close friend (fast4popper) that has a ton of it in his SS.. he has sound deading that you dont think you can get sound deading in... lolol seriously over a period of time you start to hear little noises that get annoying and start guesing yourself if you should have used sound deading.. apply it when you get the funds and start removing things like headliner, rear wall, A pilars, floor, doors.. takes time and the stuff isn't cheap we al know.. good luck, not even close to being done myself..
