  1. Hi guys, I'm looking for 1 22" Chrome SS wheel for my 04 SS Silverado. I purchased the truck from Chris Brenner in Chicago about 2 months ago and before I left Chicago I realized it had a cracked wheel. Unfortunately he left like 5 minutes before I noticed the wheel. He didn't want to step up and refund me any of my money, so I'm now in the market for a 22" wheel. Hopefully someone has 1 laying around or knows where I might be able to pick one up at a reasonable price. Let me know. Thanks, Bill 724-612-5315
  2. OK, I'm really confused now for my cat-back. I don't want to be disappointed, but I really don't want to spend $1,000 on a cat back. I can get the GM for a good price, but I'd hate to be disappointed. I need some better sound clips of it. Anyone have any. Thanks
  3. I see, I could just image how loud the Corsa Sport is.
  4. What has more rumble at idle and WOT: Corsa Touring or Borla GM Performance?
  5. Thanks guys. I guess I should consider running better gas then. If I can increase my fuel economy w/ a tune that would be great. Zippy, How could we go about getting a new program for my truck? I'm assuming I can send you my PCM. What all can you change on the tune. Hopefully there are noticeable gains. What should the truck run at the track once completed. I'm sure you've tuned 100's of these, so you would know more than anybody else. Thanks, Bill
  6. SO, I recently purchased an 04 SS w/ 28K miles. I just ordered a Cold air intake and corsa exhaust for it. This is my daily driver, so I don't want to go too crazy w/ it. I have heard that a good tune with these mods would give me a substantial, noticable difference from stock. I don't want to go crazy with it as it's my daily driver and I plan on driving it for another 6 years daily and probably 150K miles before I get another one. I've noticed it pulls good up top, but down low it's sluggish. Also, the transmission shifts very sloppy, but once again, I don't want it to be neck snapping as a daily driver. Overall I love the truck w/ the exception of my steering shaft play and vibration from the 2" lowering kit installed with out shimming the pinion angle. I plan on fixing these issues very soon. I understand Zippy is the man for recalibrating the computer. I don't want to run 94 octane, but I would sacrafice medium grade gas 89 or 91 for more power. I also pull w/ this vehicle ( I have a 88 mustang that runs 10's) and I don't want to have any issues with it either towing. Any information someone can give me would be great on getting more power out of this truck without sacraficing my daily driver would be greatly appreciated. -Thanks, Bill PGH, PA
  7. That sounds like what I'm looking for. That Corsa exhaust is crazily priced new. I'd like to see a side by side comparison of a stock SS with 2 aftermarket (Flowmaster for example) mufflers welded on the stock exhaust system and then the Corsa exhaust added on a stock SS. I wonder how close the #'s would be.
  8. Are they rusted at all. I now the flow's usually rust after a good winter in the salt. I have them on all 3 of my vehicles.
  9. I'd have to say that it's absolutely possible. I have a 88 Mustang GT w/ 550rwhp that runs 10.7 @ 132. It's' a full weight street car with leather, ps, pb, cruise, tilt, lumbar, t-tops, and exhaust on street tires. They are getting crazy rwhp #'s from the new 3 valve modulars with the addition of better breathing, in and out, and a power adder. The new Super Snake Shelby will put them #'s down very easily.
  10. Isn't the sport the louder of the 2 on a stock truck. I'll go $425 on the sport system plus shipping. Let me know Thanks
  11. Hay Quik, I'm experiencing the same problems with my 04 SS. It has a 2" shackle drop on the rear and on 22" SS wheels and I'm getting a slight vibration during acceleration from the rear. I'm hoping to get this fixed soon as it annoys the hell out of me. It's AWD and has a Belltech 2" drop. Any ideas what I need to do? I believe I need a shim to correct the pinion angle. Has anyone else ever experienced this before? Let me know. Thanks, Bill
  12. Do you have any pic's of the mufflers. I may be interested. Thanks Are these the black ones or the silver coated ones? -Bill
  13. What's up Quik, I thought that was you. This is my daily driver, so I'm not going crazy. Just want it to breathe a little better. Send me your email address. I don't know how to post pic's, so I'll send them too you if you can post them. I got the original wheels and tires with the truck, so I'm probably going to run them in the winter. I might try my wheels off of my 98, but they'll look pretty bad I'm sure. The 22's look damn good on there though. -Thanks
  14. I'm now a proud owner of a red 04 AWD SS Silverado. I love it, but I need the following to make me happy!!! 1-Cat Back exhaust-Flowmaster, or something else that sounds throaty......Any suggestions. 2-Cold air intake - Any recommendations 3-Throttle body spacer. - Is this a good mod. 4-Tonneau Cover-flush mount preferably soft cover in black If anyone has anything I may be interested in, used or new, email me at [email protected] The truck has 40K miles, 22" chrome SS wheels, 2" lowering kit, tinted windows, HID headlights, Escalade gauge cluster, vertical billet grille now and also billet bowtie. I just picked this truck up on Wednesday from Chicago. I'm in the Pittsburgh area and also a member of the www.hwknights.com. I also have a 10 second street Mustang 88 GT w/ T-tops and a freshly restored 70 Charger R/T 440 six pack, 4 speed, dana, w/ original paint, all #'s matching. I look forward to bs'ing on the site. Bill W.
