about 6 months ago i did the conversion on my 06 vmax and i couldnt be happier with them!!! i also put the front alumasports on at the same time and now she stops on a dime. before the upgrade when people would stop short in front of me my heart would stop, my stomach would sink, and id grit my teeth and hope for the best...i havent had a close call like that since i put these bad boys on. theres a big difference from light to light but where i can really tell is the 80+mph panic stops. i drive like a maniac so this for me is my favorite mod yet...plus they look sweet too!

derek- i dont mean to bash your project because i love doing stuff on my own as well, but in this situation if you save now you will pay later...rattle clear will only look good for a couple of days maybe weeks...rattle clear will evaporate and leave your tails looking dull and cloudy. if you want your tails to look nice you should take them to a body shop and have them lay down some expensive automotive clear.

like drclaw said, save a couple more dollars and get yourself some long tubes...you wont find much if any performance increase out of shorties over the stock manifolds...maybe get a different sound but thats about it.
