i dont have a true ss but the first thing I did to my truck was to de-chrome the whole thing. And the only thing that is good at Autozone is auto detailing supplies and now that I can get blue coral stuff they are useless to me...

I have been to the one in altamont and almost entered for one but just havent had the time or money. Its awesome to watch you get fast cars and slow ones and sometimes you get a hothead and he spins himself out its funny... I saw a monza lose his axel and wheel in one shot and it kept straight and the car spun.

so far I have de-chromed the whole truck I will slowly be getting the clad together oem 20 inch ss rims gloss black. The bumper cover is the abs urathane onefrom Street scenes and the grille is OEM off a z71 tahoe. rims are painted black 18s off a titan wrapped with 285-60r18 and lowered 2inch in the rear. My goal with the truck is make it look clean and OEM with a slight custom paint scheme. They didnt make the ss my year so I have to do it myself. Besides the cladding and rims all else im gonna do is lowering a bit more full custom exhaust with gloss black powder tips out sides before rear tires and a bit more motor work. I may not have the 6.0 like most of all you others on here but I am the second owner of this custom ordered rig. It was ordered std cab short bed 1500 with a tow package, 5.3, 3.73 gears and leather power seats inside. My Hp goal is gonna be about 450 at crank NA.we will see what happens the hyperjunk, afe stg2 cai and flowbastard super44 turndown setup makes it fun the drive and most dont expect it to do to much in the way of fast, I still dont have a slip in the 1/4 mile yet anyone here know much about these trucks wanna make an estimate for me?

yes but only a little and i changed the color tone but its still too red needs a little more green or yellow
