  1. Update on an earlier post, yes you can remove that big old badge from the back of your new Silverado! I ordered a new replacement (after damaging the original trying to remove it) and it is all tape on the back, no alignment pegs! So, I attempted to finish removing the old one, this time heating it up and using triple strand fishing line, and she finally came off. Took a while to clean it up, most of the tape stuck to the paint. I discovered that rolling it off with your thumb is more effective and quicker than soaking it with Goo gone. Makes the thumb kinda sore, but works like a charm! It looks great without the bowtie, so I'm going to put the new badge away and reinstall it when I sell the truck.
  2. Been reading with great interest how to remove that huge bowtie on the back of my 07 nbs. After reading all the posts, I went out with my gloves and fishing line and proceeded to cut through the tape. I gave up at the center, when the line kept breaking like there was indeed, something more than 3M tape holding it on. Tried it from the other side as well, again it broke at the same point. With both sides lifted, I tried to remove it by force......yep, you know the rest. I'll be heading out in the morning to my local dealer and ordering another. Going to wait til I get the replacement and see exactly what's behind there before I finish removing the old, crinkled one. Will keep you posted.
  3. Let's see, Dale drove a black car.....duh. I vote Black!
