  1. All you need is an end boot sleeve, Summit carries them. I had this same issue on another motor w/ header clearance issues and the protectant boots worked wonders. Their about $50, but I'd rather buy these than a new set of wires every couple weeks... Here's a link http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.a...mp;autoview=sku
  2. A guy hit my front passenger fender in a parking lot last week and put an about 18" long crease/dent in it. It didn't hurt the paint at all, it just pushed in my fender a bit. Does this sound like something you can fix? I will post a picture as soon as I can.
  3. hahahahaha! No, I wasn't there. I was on Senior week . I wish I could of done both though.
  4. Yeah, I have heard a laptop tune is better. Does anyone know of a place in Pa that does it?
  5. Hey everybody, I'm Tony. I'm 18 and am completely obsessed with my SS. I met a couple of the "supporting members" at the 2007 GM nationals and found out about this site, I've now been a member for almost a year now. After I spoke to these guys, I became hooked on finding an SS of my own. I searched the web for almost 3 months. Meanwhile, my Dad's best friend (who had currently owned one) heard of my search and decieded to sell me his. He purchased it brand new in 2003, ordered every option, and it had been garage kept and detailed weekly. This guy has had a car collection over the past 40+ years that could put the Petersen Auto museum to shame, so I knew it was worth buying. I bought the 03' in September 2007 and have been overjoyed since (minus the price of Ultra 93 ) I saw this post so I figured I would introduce myself to everyone. I joined this site mainly for advice and guidance while I customize my truck. So far I have done some pretty basic mods: ~K&N Cold Air kit ~SuperChip's Programer ~Billet Bowtie ~Billet SS Hitch Plug ~"Fire & Ice" Led Bar (getting that to fit with the rolled bumper cover was not easy) ~Billet door handles (handles only, not the surrounds) ~Painted Calipers Red with SS emblems ~SSBC 14" Rotor upgrade kit (front & rear) ~Replaced factory muffler with Magnaflow Race resonators (Sounds Awesome!) Coming soon: ~Billet Grilles ~Blacked out tail & 3rd brake lights ~Either 22"s or powder coating factory rims black ~Speedstur tonneau cover ~LS6 Top end conversion kit So, basically I'm an 18 year old kid that just graduated High School and I'm living almost broke to support my hobby- hahaha. When I drive down the street get looks from some of the hottest chick's I've ever seen, IT'S WORTH IT! Thanks for letting me introduce myself and I hope to get to know most of you guys better in the future! Thanks, TONY (BTW, if anyone knows of cheap things to do to my truck that would make more HP or make it look cooler etc... I would greatly appriciate it) SS4LIFE!
  6. Where do I find the Corvette Brake kit? Is it a kit or do I have to piece it together myself?
  7. I recently was talking to a buddy of mine who teaches at UTI, he claims that GM makes a brake upgrade kit for the SS. Has anyone heard of this?
  8. Hey Dude, www.americancamaro.org This club is awesome, we are located in PA, are are forum is preety large for are club size. Check us out!
  9. Hey Guys, Does anyone know where I can find a Silver SS. I have been searching for weeks and all I keep finding is Black and Red. I live about 20 miles west of Philly and I really want a Silver SS, Fully loaded, and AWD. If anyone knows where I can find one for under $25,000ish, I would be thrilled. I really want to find one soon, the AWD would really help in the winter (and on the drag strip)
  10. What caused the one wheel to peal? Bad Chrome? Hit a curb? I'm interested in the wheels. Can you PM me more info?
  11. Personally, if you wanna take your truck over the top, I would go to www.chipfoose.com These are some of the highest quality wheels out there and man do the look kool!!!
  12. Seeing all the SS's at Carlisle this year is what convinced me to join. Rockhead, your SS is awesome, where did you get that flame grill. I was the kid with the Black 03 at the hotel.
  13. Because your gonna be running a supercharger, you probobly don't want to go with a big cam. When you do a supercharger, you don't want bigger lift, you want longer duration. The longer duration that the valves are open, the more air and fuel you can get in the motor which equals more Horsepower. If you went with a cam with alot of lift, you would actually lose power. I would go to compcams.com and email there Tech guys, they would be able to tell you the perfect cam to run with the Supercharger you want.
  14. Your Local Exhaust shop should be able to fab up a chambered system for you. If you slip him and extra $100 he might even take out the cats. lol
  15. I heard a rumor that you can order them directly from your local Chevy Dealer
