  4. if you cut off your cats you need to get you old cat back 02 sensors deleted. That will run you about 25 bucks at your local performance shop. i just did this same thing there is no need for a tune just for LT headers.
  5. its that time for my heads cam and tranny build i need some input and suggestions i have a 04 LS with a LQ4 transplant. i want to do heads and cam and i dont want a **** ass set up. i know that i will need to build up the 4l60e so give me some sugestions on what type of heads and cam i should get and tranny build up.

  8. well it was my first time the ever run the 1/4 mile. I was nervous as hell and excited all at the same time. I kinda reminded me of my first time ****ing lol. only mods are LTs diablo sport tune and a cold air intake. She ran a 15.270 @ 93.48mph on 22" street tires i had alot of tire spin at launch, But it seem the more the spin the better the slips. i think she can do alot better on Drag radials. Im open for any ideas or sugestions im looking at 4.10 gears posy heads and a cam on a 150 shot and stage three 4L60e
  9. i just did the swap i got a LQ4 for 2200 bucks with 1500 miles on it. the 4L60 will hold up on a stock 6.0 but if you bolt up the supercharger then you will need to beef it up. the tanny motormounts and pcm are the same. dont try to buy a wire harness cause it may not match up to the internal wire harnes. my 4.8 harness plugged right into the 6.0 except the oilpressure sensor on the back of the block easy fix just swap the two. i used my 4.8 pcm it fired right up with no timing problems ur timing is controled by ur crankshaft position sensor anyway. i had to change my fuel rails b/c the 6.0 was set up with a fuel pressure switch and a return line below the supply my 4.8 was a different set up. if u buy a used motor make sure u clean the injectors the old gas was gelled up in mine and a few locked up by the way the injectors were the same. some 6.0s have a spacer on the flexplate i just put the 4.8s flex plate on if you dont do this it wont bolt to the 4L60 i did this in my garage with a lot of trial and error but i love the hell out of the 6.0 over the 4.8 lemme know if you have questions remember the 05 motors and up are setup for electric fans

  15. For one trying to correct what i said is not shooting the shit. I said the weakass superchargers on the hds sucked. that is the statement you needed to correct for some reason. Well reading further you said the hds only made 6psi well where i come from that is in the "weakass" category. I never bashed yours or anyones lightning i honestly believe they are pretty stought trucks.   17. yes thats all fine and dandy and kudos to the guy with the lightning they are nice trucks but he came on the silverado forum to i guess "set me straight" when i simply stated i took a HD and HD's have a very mild supercharger and it got beat. i dont give a rats flying ass about a lightning i leave my reciever hitch out just to be a good samaritan to guys with fords lol anyway and if he wants a race fine ill breakout my 03 duramax crew cab oneton and wipe up the track with that ford

  19. well saturday in cowtown fort worth i raced a truck just like ur and he barely pulled away his rear bumper never passed my door soooo it wont be a huge victory for u u will just be a little confused as to why the naturally aspirated chevy LS not a ss gave u a good run and this f150 hd was supercharged or he just had a noisy ass power steering pump
  20. on my way home from texas i caught up with a F150 hd i pulled up next to him and goosed real fast to start something i honestly thought he would win but i just wanted to see how the new LQ4 would hang well both times we went at it i pulled away from him i guess those weak ass supercharges dont help the 5.4 anyway it was a good day for me

  23. so i took some good advice and did NOT get lambo doors instead i got this Kenwood Excelon Touch screen w/D6 component door speakers front and rear D3 10"subs in a custom downfire box 1000w Diamond audio amp and a Memphis 500w amp/ Clifford two way alarm 5% tint ]
