ive been hearn a lot of the tranny problems. is it really common? how much is to get a built trans?

maintaince isn't a big deal. awd are harder to find.but im not in a hurry. does anybody know of any common problems, especially drivetrain? are awd and 2wd performance numbers are similar? is rear air bags better than the reg suspension? ohh also does the leather interior have any problems?

i was looking into buyn a tbss. i wanted to see what u guys think about the pros and cons about buyn a awd over a 2wd. i will say that i dont have much use for awd, it rains in the winter and i might take a trip to the snow once a year. but im more looking for everyday pros and cons. i wont modify except for exhaust,intake and wheels. are there problems with the awd drivetrain?etc.. thanks for the input fellas

yea thanks for the input. sounds not worth it. what trans are run in the hd manuals from factory and would that work? or is that as much trouble?

what trans did u use? what kind of clutch?

i was wondering if anyone has done a conversion to a manual. one of my friends from a chevy dealer came up on a 2011 camaro 6 speed trans. and im tryn to do some research to see if ill give it a try. any info would be helpful. thanks

has anyone modified the placement of the deck unit? like glove box, center console or anything outta the normal

will ss stock wheelsof a 06 2wd fit a 06 tahoe 4x4 or is the front hub on the tahoe different?

looking into buyn a new silverado reg cab with the 5.3 and six speed auto, lockin rear diff but im not sure which rear axle would be best since they offer two with that combo. 3.08 and 3.42. not sure which is better for my need. its gonna be a daily driver but id like haul*ss every once in a while. but im also considering a supercharger and/or cam out for it early in its life. any help with this would be awesome thanks

ive been loking at the ultra thunder wheels. 20x9. they are for 4x4's but they fit 2wd. curious on what u guys think about what it would look like. also the ss seems to hoop when driven. it can be felt through the steering wheel, starting around 35. i though i balanced them wrong but i rebalanced and it didnt really help. it only started doing it after i bought new tires for the oems. it is also lowered about 4 inches thanks for any input on either

does anybody have one or driven one? what were ur impressions of it? any big performance differences between the awd or rwd? that 6.2 L seeems like a beast

its goin on the 02 silverado, since the deck is older and it simply needs a new one, since i already have a nice simple setup but with the stock deck.

i was wondering who has installed a double din unit into their silverado? my friend was in an accident and his car is totalled, so i was thinking of buyn it. but i need to know how much work it would be to install since the trucks are din and a half or if it requires major mod to the dash. thanks

i want to do a cam swap on my 02, 4.8. something simply, no over the top i want it to be a daily driver but have it be a bit different than the other thousands in the north bay. can someone give my a complete list of parts needed including, plus the best place to buy them. also which size cam since it is stock and will most likely be the only major engine mod and will be adding bolt ons like headers, intake and exhaust plus i live in california, if anybody has any info on the smog rules sorrounding a cam swap. thanks, ap
