when i took out my dash so i could paint it i got surprised by this sticker that was on the other side that said; 'kathy' and my trucks production date,[ill show you guys when i buy a new camera]

I am new here and this looks like a great site. I wanted to let you all know that at fullsizechevy.com and gmfullsize.com we are having a truck meet down by san clemente. Its going to be a big BBQ and stuff. Its on the 11th of april around noon.

that was painfull -
well what i do is this:
hand wash
wipe drie with microfiber towels
apply turtle wax ice wax
apply ice polisng liquid
clean windows
aply armorall to all plastic parts
proceed to clean rims
use mothers polish
drees tires with ice dreesing.
that takes me about 3 hours and alot of elbow grease.
clay bars are good couse they take all the crap that washing wont, but you gotta have a lot off time too spare.
i havent washd my truck in 2 months and looks glossy, i wipe it down everyday and apply quick detailer about four times a week, but i gotta admit im gonna have to wash it again

So I've had my SSS for a week now, and have been tryin to run Hemi, Mustang, etc.. and haven't had anyone want to run. So last night I'm in the Ft. Myers area and what I think is a early 90 model mustang gt (I thought it had a 4.6 emblem on the side) pulls up next to me while driving about 30mph I hit the gas to rev the motor and he takes off(I wasn't expecting that, but should have) So I hit the gas and pull away from him, then he wouldn't get back beside me and finally turned off. My heart was pumping so fast I kept tryin everybody who pulled next to me but got no one elsa to bite. For anyone who reads this is it likely to beat one again? Or did the driver not know how to drive? I never heard him back out of it so I'm curious.

today i washed the truck by hand for the first time this year to see what damage has been don over the winter, and too my suprise it isnt much worse than i remember last year which is great...
but i do have all the black paint problems, light scratches and swirls blah blah.. and want to know the best way to deal with this, obviously id love to just repaint it but thats not going to happin
what are the best ways to buff (compounds and buffers), waxes, clays, polish etc
meguiers has a new wax and detail kit for balck paint, i saw it in auto zone and it was about 20$,

and has anyone heard of lexani tires? and know if they're any good?
i have 22 inch 'rodian' lexani tires, i gotta say there pretty good, [though they do make me wonder how other ones would perform] ive had them for a year and a half and only had to put air in them twice, they are good for burnouts and look good, out of 1 too 10 with ten being the best, i would give it an 8

so as some of you know i had to sell my silverado. although i miss the silverado i sold it for a little more than it was worth so i am happy, the guy that bought it didnt try and low ball me at all, very smooth transaction. i bought this, its a 2005 Dodge Ram, 2wd, SLT, with the Hemi V8, and it has only 20,000 miles on it. i bought it for $8500 which is $4k below blue book. Im a chevy guy through and through, this is my 6th vehicle, and the first one that isnt a chevy so it is a little different, not bad, but different. anyways the truck does need cosmetic work but nothing TOO major. The truck was used as a construction truck before and apparently they were grinding or something next to the truck and tiny metal flakes flew onto the truck and are now starting to rust, but im gonna get it clay bared and detailed so that stuff will come right off. alright guys let the Dodge bashing begin. and yea yea i know... now i need to change my name to Leftcoast_Dodge.
so heres a pic of the tailgate, i obviously couldnt get a close up of the whole tailgate but this is pretty much what it looks like. im gonna have it taken off and smoothed out and repainted, debadged, and have the handle color matched
this is a pic of the top of the rail on the bed, the guy had a lumber rack and the holes started to rust, im getting line-x so they are gonna grind it out and fix it up, so im not worried about that part
here's the bed, its in ehh shape, but again, im gettin line-x so it doesnt matter
ok dude i cant say anything bad too, im a chevy guy but my second car was a 96 svt cobra and i still have a weaknees for stangs, so good luck with that hemy i i hope you make it in to something sick

ive had similar problems, but not too that extent, i would take it too your local dealer and have it checked out like i did,
