I work at gmc also and was whondering the same thing a couple week ago when u plug in the tech II it ask for all the vehicle info off the vin u might be able to use the vin off a 05 ss and then do a pcm reflash to factory default settings but as far as just turning stuff on and off the tech II won't do that

well I figured out where the check balls go and I found the problem with the trans its the forward sprag. I want to fully rebuild it but don't know if its worth it what about this danny tranny everyones talking about anyone got info on it
