well if it makes you feel any better ill be driving about 60 miles to get there. and My truck is stock except for the dual glasspacks i bought it with.. So im pretty much just goin to get base numbers before I do the mods im plannin.

I work at gmc also and was whondering the same thing a couple week ago when u plug in the tech II it ask for all the vehicle info off the vin u might be able to use the vin off a 05 ss and then do a pcm reflash to factory default settings but as far as just turning stuff on and off the tech II won't do that

well I figured out where the check balls go and I found the problem with the trans its the forward sprag. I want to fully rebuild it but don't know if its worth it what about this danny tranny everyones talking about anyone got info on it

yee someone has I noticed it has no trans filter in it either, I got the valve body apart and I see 2 other balls how do I tell how many balls theres supposed to be and where do they go?

I started rebuilding this 4l60e today that I got from work and when I took the trans pan off to get to the valve body I noticed a magnet in the transmission pan with about 7 little metal balls stuck to it does anyone know what this is or where they came from

im in slidell about 15 minutes from new orleans, I wouldnt mind going to the show or maybe a test and tune on a sunday we need to get some more sss together so we can make it a meet it would be fun

Yep, everything functioned normally, couldn't even tell that the PCM was tuned until I installed the fans and hooked everything up and the engine reached the efan turn on temp.

well that is really good to know and the factory clutch fan worked until you hooked the 05fans into you pcm

im on my second transfer case and my truck has growled like that from the 1st day I got it specially when turning left in my drive way italked to one of the techs at my work and they said something about flushing the power steering and replaceing it with synthetic p/s fluid

ok so we did a 4l60 swap at work on a truck that had 30k on it because the sprag clutch broke. so im going to rebuild it and then do the same wth the one that is in my truck so I will have a extra on hand. does anyone know were I can get a good overhaul kit with upgraded hard parts and all. thanks

I would say eleven sounds good to me
