I had to replace the front bumper on my 04 SS due to previous owner damage. He had removed the brake ducts and I do not have them. The replacement bumper I got also did not come with the brake ducts. As everyone knows they are hard to find for a good price, but I wondered if I can use the 06+ SS brake ducts. The part numbers are different, yet the pictures look almost (if not identical). The dealer cost of the 03-05 brake duct is around $190 and the price for the 06+ is around $105. I know they did some revision to the hood and maybe the grill in the newer SS models, but i would think the ducts are the same. Has anyone seen or tried this? 2006+ part # 89025753 03-05 part# 12335767,12335766

Hello all, I have seen this covered briefly in other posts but I am getting mixed results as far as the correct info. My rear bumper on my 04' is crunched, but I think I can save the bumper cover. To me it looks like a standard step bumper, with just the cover slipped over it. My local dealers say it's a special bumper and brace underneath but i think they may be mistaken. Others here think its a normal silverado bumper. If anyone has any experience or thoughts on this please let me know Thanks Eric
