  1. Got it done. Now I need to order the M-1 decal and the M-1 filler cap!
  2. Here is some....need webspace, will try to get some more up soon. http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs224&d=08050&am...ture_142312.jpg http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs224&d=08050&am...ture_149487.jpg http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs224&d=08050&am...ture_140214.jpg
  3. I am starting mine changeover right now. Going with the M1-206 and 6 qrts of the gold cap Mobil 1. 10-30 I was wondering if any flushing is recommended before the switch. Anyone know?
  4. yea man i went through this...well am still. water comes in all around rear window, and drips down onto top of seat. i had the rear window pulled and reinstalled. the guy said the seal on the topside seemed bad. that didn't fix the problem, but made it better. i then put tape around the 3rd brake light, that fixed it. so, most likely your problem is a weak gasket on the 3rd brake light. a new GM brake light is about $89....pretty high. i haven't decided whether to get a GM new one, an aftermarket, or to make my own gasket. keep us posted on yours.
  5. you got the horsepower for it, just a drive shaft and differential too many! that awd burnout video i saw is awesome!
  6. i wear one while i work, so that i can take phone calls w/o stopping my work. greatly increases my productivity. They are wonderful if you have a job that you work with your hands, plus field a lot of phone calls. also, i think it should be law to be required to use handsfree while driving, i have had so many almost wrecks due to someone with a phone held to their ear. i use the motorola silver one, i think it was 59.99 and it was worth every penny. i hardly ever have to charge it(about once a week), and i use it all the time. it will create more draw on your phone battery though, so you will have to charge your phone more frequently.
  7. I am giving $400, my ASA wheels and 1/2 worn tires(Roadian) for a new set of replicas and new tires, plus mounting, balancing included. Might not be the best of deals but I am happy with it. I didn't feel like going through the trouble of selling mine, then ordering, waiting, and then finally getting new ones. This way I am in and out in a couple hours and don't waste time, which is limited this time of year.
  8. Ordered my wheels this morning. They should be here Friday. I got the 22" SS Replicas, gonna be sittin on 305/40/22's. I was runnin some 24 ASA's on 305/35/24's, but it was just too low profile for me. The SS wheels are one of the best looking factory wheels of all time, can't wait for the 22 reps! I will post pics hopefully Saturday if i get to wash it.
  9. On the Rotella in gasoline engines issue...... My 95 Impala SS, has run Rotella 15W-40 in summer and 10W-30 in winter for the life of the car. The car now has 185,000 miles on it, and still starts, runs, gets up, smooth as ever. Take it for what it is worth, but I cannot say anything but good about it. On a side note, next oil change in the SSS I am switching over to the Mobil 1 tall filter and oil.
  10. what offset is that pimp ss? also, still....anyone have pics of a 285/45/22 sittin on a SS?
  11. my truck had a bedrug when i purchased it. i had been thinking swapping out for a spray in. after reading the good things in this post about the bedrug, i am going to put it back in and run with it. i didn't realize that there was no issue with water trapment/ corrosion.
  12. could i ask what it set you back? looks real nice!
  13. if you really dont like the black.....sell it after a fresh black repaint, you should do pretty good on it. then buy another one in the color you want! silver is easy.
  14. anyone have pics of a 285/45/22, especially a 22 replica? i have 305/35/24's now(no rub, no drop), and am about to go down to 22's for more rubber.(still want no rub, no drop) the set up i have now just isnt enough tire for me. i am getting the 22 replicas, but not sure whether to go with 305/40/22's or 285/45/22's.
  15. Well, I have not ordered a new factory 3rd light yet, they are like $90. I am thinking about just trying to find a good gasket material for the one i have. We had a lot of rain again the last 2 days, I put some red tape around the edges of the light, no water in cab. I did some searching around and found that many are having problems with the onstar and/or XM antennae bases leaking.....now I am concerned about this.
  16. i avg around 17-17.5. i get around 15.5 for around town avg, and around 18-18.5 hwy avg. thats with me driving it pretty easy but getting on it here and there. i was getting a little better when the weather was warmer last fall. or it could be from taking the bed cover off.....or both. i bet a stocker 2wd could get 20 on the hwy at around 70 mph.
  17. I have decided to go with 22" reps...thanks for your interest though.
  18. Model not so sure.....i had posted a pic when i first joined, but am kind of embarassed by it. the previous owner had step bars on it, that i immediately took off, but they are in the pic. search my posts to my 2nd post, a small pic should be there.
  19. I am going to plan on being there. Right down the road from me.
  20. when i try to send PM, it is crashing my explorer. anyhow, i do not have a pic....hopefully can get some soon. they are ASA by BBS 24", on 305/35/24 with 80 % rubber.
  21. I may be interested....what exactly does 8 out of 10 mean? pics? why are you selling?
  22. i might be interested. lets see pics...and what is actual weight?
  23. With all the rain we have had, I noticed my entire rear window area was wet. All around the edges, and dripping onto the top of my back seat. I had a guy pull and reinstall the rear window, thinking thats what it was. Now, I am still leaking, but not so much all around the seal, just mostly in one spot. I am going to order a new 3rd brake light gasket and silicone the screws this weekend. I am hoping this isn't related to the factory sunroof! Anyone else had similar leak or have any input?
